Now now butchie don't try to stir things up. Im glad they are putting in work. Just because I think Bailey is our qb of the future and not Shrout doesn't mean I'm trying to talk s*** about Shrout at any chance.

I really think Shrout is our QB of the future. I know Helton loves him and is very high on him also. He will immediately have the strongest arm out of our 4 QB's. JG has a strong arm but JT's is on a different level.

Ball gets there in a hurry. Didn’t get any gauge for comparison just looking at highlights tho. I think JG’s is hurt your hand level sometimes.

Yea we definitely will have 2 strong armed QB's in Shrout and JG. Not sure on Shrout yet but JG still has to learn how to put touch on the shorter and intermediate route's. Especially over the middle where they can get tipped by the WR's and that's the last place you want a ball tipped in the air. Definitely looking forward to watching Shrout develop and how he looks with really good coaching.

Based on what? Chryst and JG have proven NFL arm strength. They have displayed it in college games. They both had better hs careers with better high school film. So what makes you think that? I may get accused of hating but people need to stop making up things that have no basis in facts.

here we go again. you already know the answer to that question.

and it is a fact that NFL scouts have raved about Shrout and his arm and mechanics. that did happen. even if it was only the one time.

And even more have raved about Chryst and Guarantano's arm strength. And both have proven it in college. They both had more praise than Shrout got. Both still get it for arm strength. So how does getting less praise and being less proven make someone have more arm strength? :crazy::eek:lol:

i didn't say they didn't.

but you come in here throw that line out like you'd be learning some 'brand new info'. gimmie a break.

you ever heard the phrase "don't start nuttin', won't be nuttin'"?

I didn't start it. Someone said Shrout will have the strongest arm. I ask based on what. If it's praise then he got the least. If it's results on the field, he has the least.

So based on what?:blink::blink:

the only thing there is to base it off. the dreaded 'camps' comments. which i know you already know about, and are waiting with your canned responses to.

it's still a fact those camps happened, and he got the praise he got. that you don't like or agree with it, doesn't remove it from the fact that it did happen.

everything else is just an opinion. that chryst or JG had more exposure or more comments made about them has no bearing on what will ACTUALLY happen in the future, with any of the three. and it's a given they have more experience in college.

basically, none of this new, nothing has changed. :thumbsup:

Newcomers showing promise Nugget article on 247...

One of the pleasant surprises among Tennessee’s true freshmen undoubtedly has been wide receiver Cedric Tillman. The relatively unheralded, three-star prospect from powerhouse Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas was a late find for the Vols just before National Signing Day who signed with them despite never having been to Tennessee’s campus. He showed plenty of promise on film and an impressive frame, weighing in at approximately 220 pounds during his official visit to Tennessee in late February. But the Vols clearly weren’t quite as familiar with Tillman as they were with some of their other signees.

By all accounts, Tillman — who’s now officially listed at 6 feet 3 inches, 212 pounds — has stood out this summer as much as any of Tennessee’s offensive newcomers. He has been difficult to defend at times in 7-on-7 work, according to multiple sources, and it now seems possible that he could see the field this season if he can continue to pick up the offense and make plays once the Vols put on pads. Some in Tennessee’s program were cautiously optimistic that Tillman might prove to be a steal for the Vols, and he has made a strong impression on them during his first two months on campus.
