We’ve seen Riley Ferguson and Nathan Peterman able to put up #’s but none of the QBs excluding ‘Dobbs’ legs were able to do anything under butch.

CBJ stunted the growth of QBs and WRs and it’s pretty clear. Reserving judgement on JG bc of that. But he is one tough dude, nobody can take that away from him.

Since you didn't want to answer the question I asked about this statement, I decided to answer it myself out of curiosity.

Chryst opponent records in wins.

2017
Rice 1-11
UCLA 6-7
Utah 7-6
Oregon 7-6
Ore st 1-11

2016
Arizona 3-9
Ore st 4-8
Oregon 4-8
Cal 5-7
Rice 3-9

Left in second quarter of bowl game so didn't even play a half but gets credit for a win.

Jg opponents included the national champs and south Carolina and LSU. All 3 of those teams are considerably better than any team chryst has beaten. Just wanted to make sure all the facts about his win loss record are out there.

Also left early in the UCLA game

KC was brought in to compete and help the team win and he will probably e the starter

Jg will be better off learning a year and getting bigger

If they don't start JG this year, especially since Chryst has done nothing of himself to this point any better than JG while playing on a much better team, with much better coaching..that mug is gone before the season is over...count on that.

Chryst is 11-2 as a starter. He’s a good QB. That myth that he’s not good is about as senseless as holding Gautantano accountable for last year under that clown show

I tend to think of it slightly differently...

If JG can't step up and beat out Chryst despite having a months long head start, then JG will never be the dude at QB for us anyway and he might as well find his next team.

Chryst is new and shiny. I don’t give a crap who it is as long as they present the best possible chance to win

I want the obviously best QB to play because I want to win, but I hope that guy is JG because of the QB depth situation. Chryst is a one year rental and that is all. They start him, and JG leaves, we are left with a freshman and horseradish going into a more important season for the future than this one.

He’s a game manager imo. If he was good he’d be in the NFL

Could be coach prejudice making that call though instead of KC just being much better, I'm sorry but I don't trust these guys THAT much yet.

Bottom line right there. I just hope one of them can put the ball in spots to let the best position group right now make a play.

I’m gonna root for Shrout....4 years left...

Better for the program..:)

Shrout has the frame / arm / and what looks like just in his recent throwing videos (the accuracy; yes you can use High school Stats against me, but I still think he is very accurate)

Shrout has a lot of upside. I think what myself and Butchna discussed was that if he Redshirts this year he could get some quality reps in due to the new rule and be a contender to start next year.
