Oh right...that fumble recovery in the end zone by the same cancer of a player that cost us the SC loss. Which brings up an interesting hypothetical: would you have preferred Hurd not be on the team last year and taken a loss vs Appy St but won vs USCe?

I would have preferred Hurd to not be on the team, knowing what we know now. If he had not been, from the start of the season the whole season would have been different. Who knows if we win that game, you don't. But I suspect we would have, and others we lost.

Having one guy being able to shift the locker room as much as he did is an indictment on the lack of leadership in the locker room imo.

Guys the pulled the crap Jalen did got smacked down real quick when I played competitive sports. it was a minor issue and then gone. The leadership let this nonsense fester.

As a general rule, you don't need a reason that you lost when you win.

There is no guarantee that we lose to Appy St. without Hurd. Yes, recovered the fumble, but regulation would have gone differently without him, one way or the other. I think we win in regulation without him. See how easy that is?

Soooo...we played just hard enough to win? Actually, I think we did seriously underestimate them, coaching staff included, and our gameplan was crap. We still won, so I am ready to move on.

But last year 2 of their 3 losses on the year were away games at us and Miami.

They should've been destroyed. Team was lackadaisical and the play calling was non aggressive. We asked for that game to be tight. Our defense was supposed to come out and hit them hard the entire game. They would've had to open it up if their QB was getting pounded on for running the option.
