'18 GA LB Quay Walker (UGA signee)

Agreed. He should some class but that goes for fans as well. Wishing injuries or career ending injuries is actually showing Less class. What he did is no more classless than Gaulden flipping off Alabama fans, that was perhaps worse as it was on national tv and UT was losing to make it look worse. I saw plenty of threads started praising him and some of the same names here praising Gaulden while crucifying Walker. Neither showed class. Fortunately, both players can grow and mature, fans can too.

What Gaulden did was completely classless, as are posters wishing Walker to have an injury. I agree with you 100%.

I don't believe the Georgia HS coach that I quoted was comparing Kirby to Saban when it comes to National Championships. Wouldn't make sense given the fact that Kirby has only been a head coach for two years. I believe the Georgia HS coach was simply pointing out how much Kirby is liked on the recruiting trail. Similar comments are being made by other Georgia HS coaches.

Saban has always been one of my favorite football coaches, and I like the fact that Georgia was able to hire a head coach that was mentored by him for several years.

Quay apologized for the hat throwing incident yesterday as I had hoped:
"I really wasn’t disrespecting Tennessee at all . Sorry if y’all felt some type of way about it! I’m just happy to be a DAWG 🐶 ... God Bless ✊🏽 ( I’m 17 😂 )" -- Quay Walker

GreysonDawg always had a way of copying/pasting Tweets onto our board where we could understand...them.

Because having fun on national signing? The whole my dad would’ve done this and I would’ve done that if it was my son is ridiculous. Grow up and let it go, it wasn’t a big deal at all

Sad generation we live in if being disrespectful is considered fun.

That's not an apology. That's a denial and an excuse.

If your feelings were hurt and you feel so disrespected as a fan of this program by a 17 year old kid tossing a hat that he paid his money for then I suggest you get a life my friend

Yet you continue to defend his actions and get butt hurt when most reasonable posters say it was disrespectful.

Probably because it’s true.

Whether it's disrespectful or not shouldn't be the point. Wishing injuries or trashing a kid for being stupid and disrespectful is ridiculous. It's up to the people around him to get him to be better.

You are going to punish him for ???
Tell me the punishment he should receive. UT handbook deems no missed games for a failed drug test, thus no punishment. Is throwing a hat worse than failing a drug test?

He got his punishment because he ruined his reputation by being immature, well, stupid. He is already labeled (and put in prison by some on here), through his own actions. No one to blame but himself. He embarrassed no one but himself. But how does a college coach punish him? Like above, yeah, if I’m dad, he Will get punishment at home.

MSU didn’t/couldn’t punish Simmons bc he beat up a girl (on video if you want to look) bc he did it before being on campus.

For being a doucher and punishments can take many forms as in laps, stairs, etc. I think we both know that any person who would do that on national tv isn't going to get punished at home.

My take on this is that Walker's theatrics were childish and immature. I can see where some would consider it disrespectful. When I expressed my displeasure on twitter, I was told that I was just upset that he did not sign with Tennessee, which was wrong. I respected his decision. He made the decision to go to the stable program. I also imagine that his intent was to generate excitement from his home town and home state crows.

Having said all that, your going to have a hard road to ho trying to convince fans that their role does not include expressing displeasure with a kid that shows a lack of maturity.

I don’t even care, had he done he opposite we would have loved it.

He chose not to come here, that’s fine, he’s just not worthy of being a VFL. His loss, not ours

Thought Walker was tight with JJ. Are we sure we’re holding onto JJ?

I posted earlier that JJ is a non-qualifier. You will learn in July. As for the hat toss, Coach Pruitt can be not so graceful at times. You don't know what Pruitt said to Walker when he told him he was going to UGA.

Then go hang around your own board and moralize them for a while, how 'bout it?

I’m here for ya all week..:p

“My heart was telling me Georgia," Walker said. "Pretty much, my main thing is, I will say that my mind was telling me Tennessee. But my heart was telling me Georgia.

"One thing I always stuck with was, I can always change my mind, but I can never change my heart. So I just stuck with that. I know it is going to be the best for me throughout these years.”-247

But it came from the heart and they were bammer fans. Almost certain it was justified.:)

For what it's worth there is a rumor (and it may be just that) that when QW called Pruitt to tell him his decision that Pruitt was rude and hung up. If true it doesn't make it right but it does make it more understandable and would be showing Pruitt the same respect that he was showed.
