'18 GA LB Quay Walker (UGA signee)

The idea that "Facts" are desirable in this thread is hilarious. Facts in this thread were routinely shot down, in favor of false narratives that made some fans feel good about Walker signing with Tennessee.

I tried to use facts to suggest that UGA wasn't out of Walker's recruitment but was told I was wrong, get out of here, etc, etc.

Fact: Walker started trending to UGA in November following his Kentucky game visit. That was prior to Pruitt leaving Bama, meaning Pruitt wasn't going to be the deciding factor in his decision. Sherrer was not the only UGA coach involved in Walker's recruitment and Walker himself said in an interview that Sherrer leaving wasn't a deciding factor. The narrative that Walker was going to follow Pruitt and Sherrer to Tennessee was always a false narrative.

Fact: UGA did try to get Walker's paperwork processed in December so he could sign during the early signing period. This fact came directly from Walker. The comments from the Bama guy that UGA made all that up, shows a lack of understanding of how closely big college programs work with High Schools, Clearing Houses, the NCAA, etc; to get these kids approved to enroll.

Fact: The idea that Walker was going to have a poor visit because he was the only 2018 player on his OV was a false narrative. Georgia has 9 early enrollees, including Fields, Cox and Kearis Jackson. They were all involved in his recruitment, as were some others who signed during the early signing period. Walker mentioned in his post signing interview that he is very comfortable and close with a lot of the players in Georgia's 2018 class. His OV locked him in to UGA.

Fact: Kirby, Schumann, Tucker and more importantly, Jonas Jennings, were always involved in Walker's recruitment. Jennings especially; was a deciding factor for Walker's mom.

Fact: Reese was being recruited by UGA to play safety, and his recruitment had no connection to Walker's recruitment, despite reports to the contrary. The narrative that Kirby left Athens on Saturday and bailed on Walker's OV in order to visit Reese because they missed on Walker was a false narrative.

All these "Facts" got shot down in this thread. Same thing happened in the DeAngelo Gibbs thread two years ago when I suggested UGA was still in it for him.

The fact you stay on here more than UGA boards trying to justify your so called facts, is hilarious and downright embarrassing.

I don’t think I much like that kid.

We had a poster or two personally disparaging him throughout the season. Still think they were off-base but it might have been reality based. I have no issue with him picking UGA. It’s just the net animosity he displays. Prolly took a lot of heat from some dumbazz Vol fans and doesn’t get that they’re in every fanbase.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but did anyone see the Cade Mays tweet where he posts video of Walker throwing the Tennessee hat at his announcement, and adds the comment “you made the right choice”?

Not the smartest move ever for an athlete in a very rough contact sport to go out of his way again and again to disrespect a team as Mays is doing. If he does his act with a cop, the situation could go bad pdq.

When all else fails just make up crap..

I love all these freaking dawg trolls on VOLNATION telling is how big a POS our coach is, and why he is going to suck as a head coach. You turd eating pests are really starting to outstay your welcome. I don't understand why Freak is giving our rivals a platform to follow their little slimy jackmule coach's negative recruiting lead..on VOLNATION.

😠

Only good thing is soon everyone will join me as hating UGA more than any other team. I have plenty of room on my hate train.

For what it's worth there is a rumor (and it may be just that) that when QW called Pruitt to tell him his decision that Pruitt was rude and hung up. If true it doesn't make it right but it does make it more understandable and would be showing Pruitt the same respect that he was showed.

Bet I can guess where that rumor came from.

Would you want to talk to a bunch of Jawja fans all day?..can't say I blame him. We are talking about a state where the road signs have to say "fine for throwing trash on highway" because the general population doesn't know what littering means.

If he had only chosen UGA or Clemson and left it at that, there’d be no problem, no “animosity”, would’ve just lamented that we lost him and thought “bummer”. But the “F Tennessee too” and now going out of his way to take to twitter and highlight Walker’s embarrassing disrespect toward the Vols? Kid can pound sand imo.

Pretty much concur. I have said that I think he’s a prototype RT and will take that to the next level, health permitting. Haven’t changed that stance. Hoping Emerson is the opposite force.

Gibbs is another example of why signing day doesn't mean you have already won a championship. Glad you got him instead of UT as well. Now we will see what the D will look like with CMR developed players. Big difference with seniors playing against younger players. Not saying UT will beat Georgia next year but it will probably be their best chance to do so the next three years IF coach bowl head can develop what he has recruited. It is not just bowl head having to develop them either. Gibby is already one who didn't make it. Time will tell who else.

How is young Gibbs doing btw? :) Awful touchy post for a fan who should be celebrating your team’s haul. Hate for you to get offended and stop providing us tidbits like the one prospect that you wanted and didn’t get has grade concerns. Or that you have doubts about our new HC. Or that we have false narratives about kids you landed. You’re a sensitive, damaged ponytail guy...hope it gets better for you.

Dang! It scares me how we sometimes think alike.

Who is Cade Mays? Didn't his dad play for Tusculum?

"i didn't see it. I never saw it," smart said. "i was watching 2019 and 2020 tape at the time, so i didn't actually see it. I did get a text from my wife that she was scared to death when he did that. That's their moment in the sun, and some kids know how to handle it and some don't. To each his own. When they get here, we're going to try to teach them the correct way to handle some things.
