'18 GA LB Quay Walker (UGA signee)

For what it's worth there is a rumor (and it may be just that) that when QW called Pruitt to tell him his decision that Pruitt was rude and hung up. If true it doesn't make it right but it does make it more understandable and would be showing Pruitt the same respect that he was showed.

So you and Zippy barbecuing this weekend? :)

Not saying it's true or not true but it would explain how in some situations with certain players we have went from leading to them pissy and not even talking to us. Maybe Pruitt is one of those if your with us your my boy but if your not I'm going to kick you azz

A lot of behind the scene specifics get leaked out after every signing day. Pruitt hanging up in anger would not surprise me. He can be a little volatile. Love the guy as a DC, but not sure he has the disposition to be a HC. Walker was locked in to UGA after his OV to UGA. He probably told Pruitt at some point, that he was going to commit to Tennessee on signing day; and then didn't tell him he wasn't until Tuesday night...making Pruitt mad.

In absence of facts? Make em up. Keep the objective analysis coming.

I don't think anyone is stating this as fact. Just stating rumors that may or may not be true. Pruitt is kind of a guy with a lot of smoke. There hasn't been a known fire yet but plenty of smoke to make these claims at least feasible.

Pruitt is an excellent DB coach and coordinator, jury is still out on being a head coach but that's the case with every new head coach on his first gig. He is outspoken and knows what he wants, he can identify talent. But he has flaws too, he is very abrasive, not easy to work for or with and was going to physically attack Mark Richt on the practice field until Thomas Brown stepped in, and he did show up one Sunday monrning, intoxicated at Richt's house. As for as his recruiting goes, he always peaked the interest of talented players, but came in 2nd way too many times. Been 2 rumors this cycle of him being less than professional when recruits gave him bad news, true or not he can't afford much more of that.

The idea that "Facts" are desirable in this thread is hilarious. Facts in this thread were routinely shot down, in favor of false narratives that made some fans feel good about Walker signing with Tennessee.

I tried to use facts to suggest that UGA wasn't out of Walker's recruitment but was told I was wrong, get out of here, etc, etc.

Fact: Walker started trending to UGA in November following his Kentucky game visit. That was prior to Pruitt leaving Bama, meaning Pruitt wasn't going to be the deciding factor in his decision. Sherrer was not the only UGA coach involved in Walker's recruitment and Walker himself said in an interview that Sherrer leaving wasn't a deciding factor. The narrative that Walker was going to follow Pruitt and Sherrer to Tennessee was always a false narrative.

Fact: UGA did try to get Walker's paperwork processed in December so he could sign during the early signing period. This fact came directly from Walker. The comments from the Bama guy that UGA made all that up, shows a lack of understanding of how closely big college programs work with High Schools, Clearing Houses, the NCAA, etc; to get these kids approved to enroll.

Fact: The idea that Walker was going to have a poor visit because he was the only 2018 player on his OV was a false narrative. Georgia has 9 early enrollees, including Fields, Cox and Kearis Jackson. They were all involved in his recruitment, as were some others who signed during the early signing period. Walker mentioned in his post signing interview that he is very comfortable and close with a lot of the players in Georgia's 2018 class. His OV locked him in to UGA.

Fact: Kirby, Schumann, Tucker and more importantly, Jonas Jennings, were always involved in Walker's recruitment. Jennings especially; was a deciding factor for Walker's mom.

Fact: Reese was being recruited by UGA to play safety, and his recruitment had no connection to Walker's recruitment, despite reports to the contrary. The narrative that Kirby left Athens on Saturday and bailed on Walker's OV in order to visit Reese because they missed on Walker was a false narrative.

All these "Facts" got shot down in this thread. Same thing happened in the DeAngelo Gibbs thread two years ago when I suggested UGA was still in it for him.

Can't afford what? Rumors. Sure, he should absolutely put a stop to those.

Would help if opposing fans would go back to their own message boards.

If you are going to hang around here, at least realize not everyone is going to be happy and agree with you. If not, leave. One or the other, but stop taking it so personal.

Facts are your bagmen swooped in after he left his visit Sunday. You can try to spin this other info all you want, but we all know what happened turning his families head.

How is young Gibbs doing btw? :) Awful touchy post for a fan who should be celebrating your team’s haul. Hate for you to get offended and stop providing us tidbits like the one prospect that you wanted and didn’t get has grade concerns. Or that you have doubts about our new HC. Or that we have false narratives about kids you landed. You’re a sensitive, damaged ponytail guy...hope it gets better for you.

Like his mom quitting her job after his official visit? False narrative? :)

Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but did anyone see the Cade Mays tweet where he posts video of Walker throwing the Tennessee hat at his announcement, and adds the comment “you made the right choice”?

Fact: Wasting time, it's over. Who cares.

Fact: Walker will get pancaked if he gets into the game only because of the Hat trick...

Fact & Assumption: You are a Know it all. Great go post this on the GA Board.

When all else fails just make up crap..

I love all these freaking dawg trolls on VOLNATION telling is how big a POS our coach is, and why he is going to suck as a head coach. You turd eating pests are really starting to outstay your welcome. I don't understand why Freak is giving our rivals a platform to follow their little slimy jackmule coach's negative recruiting lead..on VOLNATION.

Noticed.

It was so nice when we had that two game winning streak against the butt sniffers. They were scarce around. Can't wait till those conditions exist again.
