...to Ohio State. I dont think taking a back-up QB from Conneticut the week after the kid indicated it would be helpful to our chances if we didn't recruit a QB this year helped.

Simple we all of sudden forgot how to recruit or just stopped trying.

Not as much early playing time available, months of negative recruiting due to the lawsuit/Butch choking on the big stage multiple times, zero players drafted two years in a row, UT being a laughing stock for 2018 recruits' entire childhoods/adolescence, and programs with significant recent success being the staff's main competition for the guys they really want.

I know that we as fans are excited about the team and the progress it has made under Butch, but 5-7, 7-6, and 9-4 still isn't very impressive to kids who are being wooed by coaches with multiple national championship rings and dozens of guys in the NFL.

Must be residual effects from the law suit 😝. Personally I think we just need to win this year. That will correct a lot of ills & erase several question marks/doubts that are in everyone's minds...fans & recruits.

I'd say Lawrence. Mainly because he has publicly stated he and dad grew up Vol fans. I think Butch "moved on" to Jones after he realized he had lost Lawrence.

I think if we lose Gibbs to UGA, that'll be worse. Considering the whole legacy aspect. I don't Butch has lost a legacy he seriously went after.
