He's still planning on announcing this year? Or next? Him not committing this month is not good for Tennessee. He would almost certainly would have been a Vol had he decided.

That's honestly what I believe is happening now. It's made him have 2nd thoughts & this won't be the 1st recruit to rethink their upcoming decisions either that had us on their lists. Sad to say but the truth is the truth.

If we was to lose Fields to PSU for 2018 then all we're left with at QB for 2017 will be Bubba Thompson & the Urich kid that was posted last week or the week before. I would take the Urich kid anyday over Bubba Thompson who is a 2* recruit while Urich is a 3* recruit.

The Urich kid is tall & a dual-threat QB at 6'4". I'm trying not to lose hope on Fields but it's not looking good now for him coming to UT. A month ago I would have said we was the favorite on him.

We'll get one for sure in 2017 but it may not ending up being Fields now in 2018 though. More like a Urich or Thompson for 2017. I hope if this ends up being the choices then Butch would take Urich.

2018 & 2019 choices of QB's are going to be way more important anyhow. Just hate to lose Fields after not long ago things were looking good for us with him. :bad:

I forgot a couple of words in my previous post that made it look like I thought he was a 2017 kid. Believe me, I knew he was for 2018 though. I fixed my post so hopefully it's pretty clear now. Thanks for the heads-up buddy. :good!:

We don't HAVE Thompson...as of now. Penn State has had an upswing this season but J'Fra has a tendency to get verbals from commits and lose them. We have a year...whatever happens.

While Dobbs hasn't been great, someone should put Fields in contact with Christian Hackenburg to see what he thinks about QB coaching.

Different style of QB tho. Franklin did really tank that situation.

Pedophile State screwed around and beat a OSU team that was probably ranked higher than it should have been in the first place. Franklin is a pretty good coach, but I don't see him winning them Big 10 any time soon and hope Fields takes his time and makes the right choice.

Bubba Thompson is more dynamic than the Urich kid? I don't know what video(s) you have seen but for sure not what I have seen on both of them. Urich isn't a dual-threat QB for nothing.

Thompson is not that type of QB & much smaller too. We just need to get one of these two for 2017 but preferably Urich until we concentrate more for 2018 & 2019 on a more talented QB like Fields.

He has changed OC since then. I don't know much about him but it seems like he is well known in coaching circles as good. He has done pretty well with a scrub at QB this year

I think this kid is smarter than that. Why go to a school that took a projected #1 overall pick at QB and killed his draft stock.

I'd love to have fields but if he does choose somewhere else we essentially through red shirts have our 2017 qb w jones and our 2018 qb w jg

So we're in good shape
