You just contradicted yourself.

You say it's asinine to add to the clutter (which is exactly what off topic posting does here) and then say if I don't like it go somewhere else.

How about you go to a thread meant for off topic discussion then. Perhaps some thread, in a forum about recruiting, maybe labeled something about being off topic. I wonder if we have one of those?

If I'm coming off as mean, I'm not trying to be, but I read brief snippets at work usually, and I'm usually busy, so I come directly to these forums hoping to get the latest news about a recruit and get back to work, not read 4 pages about D4H's insane, trolling opinion and people taking his bait.

I don't understand why I should "go somewhere else" when all I want is to get a quick update about the very subject of this thread. Hell, I really don't even mind the off topic posts, but it often turns into page after page after page of it.

No you are wrong. The clutter doesn't bother me much this Tim of year. It obviously does bother you, that is why I said it was asinine to add to something you hate, which you just did again. :) I did apologize just a few posts later, dont know if you saw it. What I said was more mean spirited than I meant to be. I just get tired of people griping about that. In essence you are doing the very thing you are griping about.

By the way..EVERYBODY..hates D4H, Phony Baloney, Bruin and Crunchyleb for doing that. Anyways just ignore what I said, my opinion doesn't count for much.

I didn't see that until after I posted the above, and I was trying to get in a follow up. I feel like I did the same thing and apologize as well. Allow me to clarify. I view banter and clutter as two different things. Off season banter I don't mind. It's when it turns into this long, drawn out, pointless argument with trolls like D4H that I get tired of it.

Things seem to have died down a bit between Tennessee and Fields recently. In an interview with 247Sports earlier this week, he mentioned several other schools still involved with him, and Tennessee wasn't one of them.
