Taking an OV to VaTech this weekend. He’s not an EE so he could still visit in January

Is Grant solid to UT?

Grant has options with Virginia Tech and UNC coming after him. Believe Gillespie is set to see him today or tomorrow. Grant will not sign early or take any OVs until January.

No clue why this staff isn’t interested in this player. Or at least there’s been no reports of them reaching out to him and we’re offering other backs.

For all the people saying trust RG, RG offered this kid.

I really hope we take him, he just seems so versatile and talented. Plus he's been loyal to us throughout the process. He even said he committed to Tennessee, not a coach. I understand dropping the guys who do not fit the current staff, but I think we can give this guy a scholarship and be ok.

Why do we not want Grant? He seems like a John Kelly clone and has stayed with us through all the drama. We got Banks and I feel Grant would be a good compliment to his style.

I thought Ron's quote from Simonton up above on 12/14 said Gillespie was supposed to visit him the following day, which would have been last Friday. Did that not happen? There have been no updates since then so did it never happen?

I see no reason to drop this kid...none at all...I think he’s an excellent pickup and I hope these tweets are a sign that he will sign with us in february

I said same thing in other thread and Ron told me not to expect it.

But it seems to be RB is the one position (especially his style of running) that would carry over with RG staying on board.

The staff is high on signee Jeremy Banks from Cordova, Tenn. Commit Anthony Grant has remained loyal through the coaching search, and he would love to be a Vol.

I think the coaching staff might lightly kick the tires on a few prospects to see if there is interest. Banks and Grant will most likely be the haul, though.
