'18 GA RB Anthony Grant (FSU signee)

Siap, 247 scout evaluation - Grant is a threat to go the distance every time he touches the ball. He has a great combination of speed and quickness. Grant shows good vision and patience. He anticipates well and can make people miss. Grant can run between the tackles or bounce the play outside. He needs to add weight and get stronger, but he has a lot of natural ability and his best football is ahead.

I don’t think he’s in this class...post signing day.

Grant has a lot of upside.

He has the body to get bigger AND faster.

No way we let this kid go imo.

This staff has no obligation to any commit recruited by previous staff.

Someone will take Litaker.
College is still in his future.
It is stupid PR for a lot of well established reasons. It is a misstep..but keep on carrying water. I'm going to call it like I see it from now on. One damn scholarship isn't going to hurt anything. Hell he can "process" Litaker a year down the road and probably nobody says anything.

Why should the new staff be handcuffed to keep a kid that doesn’t fit their system? It makes no sense for anyone to get mad.

Well, maybe a kid commits early, doesn't look at other schools, an AD waits until the last minute to get rid of a coach and get a new coach, and cuts a kid loose with no chance to find a home before the new early signing period. And a whole lot of kids sign early, cutting down on available slots everywhere.

It doesn't make a difference for the 5-stars, not much for the 4-stars, but after that, it gets a bit tougher.

Can you fault an early commit for thinking that he's got something to rely on?

They shouldnt have to be. But it will piss people off around here, right or wrong. We have seen it before.

I can fault him for just assuming the new coach will want him. I want Litaker in the class, but one player with an injury history shouldn’t have a guaranteed spot. If people “get mad” about that, they’re dumb. The new coach should recruit who he wants. I think everyone is overreacting. We’ll be able to recruit Rutherford County fine.

I totally get it, and I agree, but it will look bad on the staff, and it will cause problems in that area in recruiting. It is dumb instate PR, and all of us getting pissy about it ain't going to change how people in that area see it, it will only make it worse.

Do any of you guys *****ing at me for saying that even know why? Do you know Litakers story?
