The young man just filled out late, he seems to be getting better and better. Some times them late bloomers end up being good ones. Let's hope this turns out to be the case. GBO!!!!!

This is Woody all over again. Why y’all excited about a practice body? We need commits that will really get us excited

Slow down man, I don't want to knock the kid because it sounds like he has worked his tail off to get this opportunity but I don't think anyone expects him to come in and be a starter let alone a superstar.

He is a guy being brought in as another body in case the unfortunate happens and we lose a guy and to possibly play special teams.

Not immediately, but I don't think Pruitt signs the kid unless he think he has the potential to reach that level. Give him a year or two.

Cannot equate the mistakes of that staff with this staff.

Take a breath people, this guy can play. Unless you don't believe the guy with the NC rings who has coached d-backs for years. He's strong, quick, coachable and will have the required chip on his shoulder.

The only thing that I don't like about this commit is that every time he makes any kind of play, regardless of whether it's good or bad, someone will remark that he's only played one or two years of organized football and is still "raw," and needs to learn.

I know it’s honeymoon season and no one can question the staff, and I’m quite familiar with all the counter arguments so i’ll Just restate my long standing opinion and drop it...

I’m not a fan of taking JUCO’s who didn’t produce at a high level in HS.

Carry on :hi:

Its a weird story for sure. Goes from graduating as a 5"7 140lbs WR to gaining 4 inches of height and 45lbs then trying out as a juco DB. That's a pretty big difference if it's a legit story. His highlights look good and man is he physical in them. It's also highlights though

As Ron stated in this (or another) thread, IF this kid has something, you go for it now...not when other teams hear about him.

Yeah that was what Pruitt was doing here. George told 247 that Pruitt told him he didn't want to risk a heated battle for him if he went back to juco and like his skill set to take him now while it was easy

I haven't been a fan of most of these late adds but I kinda like this one. He only played one year of football but he was on the team practicing throughout HS so he's not completely raw. He was just too small to play. He knows scheme's and techniques and such. Plus he learned to play undersized and grew late which could help with physicality because he had to learn more leverage instead of just being more physically gifted than his opponents. Another side of this is he took a year off after HS when he had the growth spurt and worked out to build his body up. Then redshirted and only played last year. So he will basically be a 20-21 year old soph. Which means he is probably more physically developed than most soph's with 3 years to develop technique. He is definitely not as exciting a signing as blue chip guy, but he does appear to have some potential and time to develop it. JMO
