TE Glenn Beal, River Ridge, La.
Beal, a three-star prospect, named Tennessee his leader less than a month ago before a visit to Texas A&M made the Aggies the team to beat. But the Vols never faded out of the picture, and they appear to be strong contenders for Beal coming off their visit with him earlier this week. Texas A&Ms optimism about Beal seems to have faded a bit recently, according to sources, but at least a couple of other teams now could be factors in addition to the Vols. Alabama and Ole Miss, which hosted him on his latest visit, might be in play, and some think the Crimson Tide might be willing to squeeze Beal into their class. LSU also could be a factor if the Tigers find room down the stretch. Tennessee remains in good shape for now, but the Vols still have serious competition for him.
