'18 NC RB Zamir White

I agree. Only a crazier RB would want to go the UGA with Chaney as OC. Unle$$ there'$ other incentive$.

I guess many if you forget the year hardesty had with Chaney as OC. Guy can mix it up though he doesn't often. Also he had a really balanced year at Pitt with the Connir kid at rb.

It's just hard to tell how much of the credit for the offense that year should go to him and how much to Kiffin.

Did there need to be more? Obviously they get most of their talent instate, but going 1000 miles away to get a kid from NY state is impressive.

Yes. The poster said they are getting elite offensive linemen they wouldn't get without him.

1 out of state.

Did Richt never get elite out of state OL? Is this a new thing to Georgia to have appeal to top talent out of state?

I think why most don't say anything about the Hardesty year is that we all believe Kiffin, not Chaney was really the one calling the plays that season.

K iffy is not a dominant personality so it must be Chaney. Conley defending Georgia and Chaney and calling us scorned? What a freaking joke. I am very happy to have Chaney gone. Oh, and our Vols have been putting up points and running the ball very well. Thrilled for Georgia to have Chaney and several Georgia fans don't. R2 D2 the sidekick just loves him some Chaney. That is ridiculous to call UT scorned on a guy we sent packing. Not the only school to have done that.

What was that biggie paper thing with a bunch of markings on it that KIFF had on the sideline? This man knows.

I couldn't agree more. Never did like Chaney and his way of running the offense while he was here. There was a reason we sent his ass packing.

Pittman is currently ranked the #16 recruiter in the nation by 247. Higher than any of our assistant coaches.

This is silly. He can recruit.

Posted last year when our UGA friend GreysonDawg was kindly attempting to educate us on our former OC, that Chaney's major flaw is tunnel vision. He'll always veer passing centric and ratchet it up in tight situations. His year with Kiffin was balanced by Lane calling the plays and his resume building years at Arkansas were a credit to Bielema not allowing any threat to his 3 yards and a cloud of dust mindset. Arkansas passing attack has actually evolved even flourished under Enos because of a reasonable mix. Pitt was also better this past season post Chaney, but Matt Canada is just a better OC. I acknowledge that Chaney connects with his QBs and teaches a good concept, but when it comes to calling plays he reverts to his nature...pass happy.

He can definitely recruit, but I've never been too impressed with N.Y. high school football.

I didn't feel his recruiting at Arkansas was strong. I didn't follow him at Carolina.

He's been the primary recruiter on 6 Top 100 players and 14 top 250 players over the past several seasons.

Guys like Robert Quinn (Rams), James Hurst (Ravens), Jonathon Cooper (Cardinals), Sebastian Tretola (Titans), Denver Kirkland (Raiders), Jeremiah Ledbetter (Lions), Dan Skipper (Cowboys)

Also currently has some highly rated guys from last cycle on the roster such as Isaiah Wilson (5*), Ben Cleveland (4*, top 100 player), D'Marcus Hayes (4*, top rated JUCO OT)

Skipper was a 3 star that got picked up as an UDFA. How many others on that list are similar stories?

Cooper was a 2* I believe and was the #7 pick a few years back out of NC

Hurst was an UDFA that has started quite a few games in Baltimore if I remember correctly.

We were all in on Skipper weren't we?

It was a narrative but he was a 3 star. So he coaches up low rated recruits? Our scouts want high ranked recruits. :)
