Did there need to be more? Obviously they get most of their talent instate, but going 1000 miles away to get a kid from NY state is impressive.
I guess many if you forget the year hardesty had with Chaney as OC. Guy can mix it up though he doesn't often. Also he had a really balanced year at Pitt with the Connir kid at rb.
It's just hard to tell how much of the credit for the offense that year should go to him and how much to Kiffin.
K iffy is not a dominant personality so it must be Chaney. Conley defending Georgia and Chaney and calling us scorned? What a freaking joke. I am very happy to have Chaney gone. Oh, and our Vols have been putting up points and running the ball very well. Thrilled for Georgia to have Chaney and several Georgia fans don't. R2 D2 the sidekick just loves him some Chaney. That is ridiculous to call UT scorned on a guy we sent packing. Not the only school to have done that.
Yes. The poster said they are getting elite offensive linemen they wouldn't get without him.
1 out of state.
Did Richt never get elite out of state OL? Is this a new thing to Georgia to have appeal to top talent out of state?
I didn't feel his recruiting at Arkansas was strong. I didn't follow him at Carolina.
He's been the primary recruiter on 6 Top 100 players and 14 top 250 players over the past several seasons.
Guys like Robert Quinn (Rams), James Hurst (Ravens), Jonathon Cooper (Cardinals), Sebastian Tretola (Titans), Denver Kirkland (Raiders), Jeremiah Ledbetter (Lions), Dan Skipper (Cowboys)
Also currently has some highly rated guys from last cycle on the roster such as Isaiah Wilson (5*), Ben Cleveland (4*, top 100 player), D'Marcus Hayes (4*, top rated JUCO OT)
Skipper was a 3 star that got picked up as an UDFA. How many others on that list are similar stories?
Cooper was a 2* I believe and was the #7 pick a few years back out of NC
Hurst was an UDFA that has started quite a few games in Baltimore if I remember correctly.
We were all in on Skipper weren't we?
