Thanks for the update - I was wondering what was happening with this guy.
Is their a time table for the transfer on him or does he just enroll in the Fall?
Well AP said he doesn't do interviews, so that's probably why things have been so quiet.

I'm guessing he just commits out of the blue in time for summer workouts.

I think this kid is definitely a take imo. Small is a solid back but he was banged up last year and outside of him we don’t have any proven backs. Wright looks fine but I think he needs to beef up to be an every down back or used in certain situations. JWT looks the part but he is a freshman and I think unless he is a game changer, he should play his 4 games and redshirt.

This back will give us experience and those tough yards that we really need in this offense. Him and Small can be solid backfield that could be the difference in some games.

Here's the article from a Colorado site regarding his decommit:

RB transfer Ramon Jefferson decommits from CU Buffs – BuffZone

In the spring, Colorado running back Alex Fontenot was asked if he had watched any film of transfer Ramon Jefferson, who was expected to join the team in the summer.

“I don’t pay attention to new recruits,” Fontenot said.

Good thing, because Jefferson won’t be coming to CU after all.

On Friday, Jefferson, a former Sam Houston running back and one of CU’s top transfer recruits of the offseason, announced that he has de-committed from the Buffs and will play elsewhere in his final year of eligibility.

Expected to compete with Fontenot for the starting job, Jefferson had previously committed to Colorado in January and signed a grant-in-aid. A grant-in-aid is binding for the school, but not for the student-athlete until they enroll in school, so Jefferson was still recruitable by other teams as he finished up his academic year at Sam Houston.

CU recruited Jefferson after losing star Jarek Broussard, who transferred to Michigan State. Broussard, the 2020 Pac-12 offensive player of the year, led the Buffs in rushing the past two seasons.

This guy is great at breaking tackles, which makes me think he could really do damage against the defenses we wear out with our tempo.

bingo

and they dont want to get put in a position like last yr when guys inevitably get dinged up here and there throughout a season. Its just 1 yr which should be a great bridge to the new young guys like Sampson and Williams-Thomas.
