'18 TN OT Max Wray

If days of difference in the timing of an offer to a 2018 guy was the issue, when said offer was like 18 months before NSD, then that is either just a ridiculous degree of butthurt or there is more to the story. If it is the butthurt, I doubt he would last at UT anyway...those guys have always found the exit. If it is not butthurt, then it may have been an evaluation and conclusion on the Wray family's part that may or may not survive the next year. Meaning, that Kirby and his staff may not look so shiny by season end, while Butch and staff may look much more so.

Probably makes sense to not worry too much about Max or his brother, and just see what happens. Of course the freakers gonna freak either way.

So are you saying to just shake it off?

I'm saying that as a grandfather (means old) I've learned to not borrow trouble. It'll work out or it won't, it may be the beginning of the end of UT's resurgence or it's just the beginning, and we aren't gonna know either way for a while. So let's enjoy the butt kickin' Team 120 is about to administer to the rest of the SEC and don't worry too much about Mr. Wray.

This just makes way too much sense for me to even begin to want to follow this advice.

It doesn't leave nearly enough room for disdain, discontent, over-reaction, or freaking out.

I'll take no part in these shenanigans. Good day to you sir!

Stupid elders and all their appropriate perspective on...stuff.

Get outta here with that really well thought out and completely reasonable nonsense.

Fine, fine. I'll just take my walker and shuffle over to the table and have some runny Cream of Wheat.

In other news, it's almost time boys. Can you feel it?

A 2018 recruit is 16 and just finishing their soph year of HS. Someone has to sit me down and explain how we could possibly be concerned about losing the little brother of a 16 yr old w 2 seasons of HS football left.

I'll hang up and listen

My response to that is just because someone asks a question doesn't mean you have to answer it. Some things are best kept in confidence.

Darth this was already out there. IT was no different when ppl were asking about Hunter, Da'Rick, etc being ticked off and wanting to leave after Baggett was let go by Dooley. I'm not withholding truth if ppl want to know. Rumors were swirling qnd I just told what I knew. The results of it all could be very positive because the Wr coaching from my perspective has taken a tremendous change this off season. CBJ and Scott have given more input and a lot of the robotic drills etc have changed. The guys look more fluid and natural out there.

I'm not a pro at noticing the things that you mentioned in your last couple of sentences, but that was the first thing I noticed in the very first WR video that we saw for fall camp. Also, noticed that they were no longer in the crouching tiger stance. My first thought was that Butch is actually coaching WRs now, or telling Z how he wants them coached.

Coach Scott seems to have been a huge plus for the UT staff. Glad to hear the input!

You guys are doing solid work. Please send all those Rutherford county guys to Knoxville. We need to build a Knoxville pipeline from Blackman, Oakland, Siegel, Smyrna, La Vergne & Riverdale.

LOL

You posting players' private information on Volnation is why things have changed and our WRs look better?

I like you, de1. I appreciate most of the information you bring to this board (current players' dirty laundry not included) and I think you guys have done great work for TN HS athletes and athletics as a whole.

But the self-importance with which you post is sometimes incredibly laughable.

Thank God with respect to Butch and Scott stepping in and changing some of Azzani's failed methods. Hopefully this proves to be fruitful and we finally see our big, strong, athletic WRs go do what we're used to seeing Tennessee WRs go do.

Only question I have is what the hell took so long?? Is it actually Scott's influence since his arrival?.......That's the only change

Look man I don't know what you are expecting me to say but i have my opinion and you have yours. I only speak on a tenth of what I know don't live on a msg board but post occasionally and say somethjng about self importance, LOL please. The info was not private. The rumors were swirling and hopefully its fixed now. I can't help what a coach has or hasn't done in his past or at UT. Nor can I ignore what I feel needs to be addressed or expressed. If I'm asked, I'll pk and choose what to answer. I apologize if it upsets or offends you. Not my intentions at all.

Its a combination of things as CBJ, Scott, and also outside influence from the NFL etc hv been around and coaches learn like players do when taught by in house or outside sources. Everyone has the ability to grow professionally and hone their craft. We all jst have to tk wha we can and apply it.
