'18 TN QB/WR Alontae Taylor (UT commit 6/18/16)

Hey,

Will you (Plug In School) tell me that I'm a good player, and that you would like me to play for your school?

Thanks,
AT

I mean, can anyone actually get a read on this kid? Is anyone else a serious contender or is this all for attention? It's annoying, either way. Why not just wait and see if you like the new coach before making this all public. Other schools were already circling like vultures trying to flip this kid before Azzanni left.

Based on his comments this week, he likes the Beard hire and he still talks about staying instate. I think he has just decided he wants to take his visits and he knows if he acts like he is interested in other schools he will get the red carpet treatment on his visits.

When he visits LSU though I would suggest he take a Cajun translator with him if he actually wants to know what Ogeron is saying.

I would be pissed off if I woke up to 50 messages from anyone. JMO

Quit texting me! I'm trying to sleep!

Do you get the feeling Alontae Taylor really wants to be a Vol or is he likely to flip if someone like Bama comes calling?

Callahan's response:

I think he's pretty likely to stick with Tennessee right now, but an Alabama offer maybe would make things interesting. I'm not sure how likely it is that he'll get an offer from Alabama, though.

Follow-up question:

In your opinion, is he the kind of kid who really wants to be a Vol or more likely looking for the best offer?

Callahan's response:

I don't think he's just looking around for the best offer. I think he genuinely likes Tennessee and wants to play there, as of right now. If he was just looking for the best offer, I think his recent offers from Florida, Georgia and LSU would have caused him to take a look around, but they didn't really shake him. Only the recent departure of Zach Azzanni caused him to say he's going to look around a bit more, and even that might not be a huge concern in the long run.

Not that its a bad thing but how are these guys moving around the list during the off season?

Joke all you want. There is a reason our fanbase is consistently voted #1 most annoying fanbase by recruits.

Been fan for 49 year's our fan base has always been a joke beside bama we have the worst fan base in the country we could go 15 and 0 back to back and 30 percent would won't to get rid of the coach like bama fans i have heard some of there fans that think the game has passed Nick by think about that when they lose 1 game you would think they are on a 5 game losing streak i hear alot of our fans make fun of coach FULMER and all he did was win the only NC in the last 65 years or so and win 10 games a year when you only played 11 regular season:thud:I know at the end we had a couple of bad year's but one of the bad years we won the East if you are young get your  ready and sit back don't see nothing changing in the next 50 years.:thud:

I'd assume because he's been going to different camps during the summer where recruiting services get to see him in 1v1, drills and all that.

With that being said, I have no idea if Taylor has been camping a lot this summer.

But...its March unless there are camps in Australia.

Lol Sure feels like May to me 😬

In this case maybe the recruiting services are going through all the tape from last season on the top players?
