No let's just bash our coaching staff and call them lazy and dumb because their RB board doesn't match the one made by VN.....amirite?

Bashing?..Well I do think it's dumb or lazy, or both. And I don't give a crap about "VNs board"..My feelings about Teague are my own. Hell..any body that knows me here, knows I don't give a crap about that. I was one of the first ones that wanted to dump Hunter Johnson. I was glad when he jumped.

And my feelings on Teague have nothing to do with his ratings. I could care less if he was a 3* or 4* according to the services. He fits perfect. I don't understand the..whatever..the holdup is or was. I'm done for now.

This young man is strongly influenced by his coaching staff, which many played college ball in Tenn and his Mom and Dad Which his father also played college ball here in Tenn. He is really not a follower, but more of a leader. He does what is right all the time. I really believe that the visits, calls and personal connection with the head coach weighs heavey. I don't think other than in passing has BJ really talked to him. When your top guy says your are one of our picks, it carries alot of weight, especially with this do what you say you are going to do kid.

But then again..Lighten up on the Saint Teague narrative. I'm sure he's a good kid, but nobody's perfect, and if he thinks Mushchump is some paragon of virtue, that is a friggin joke. He just wanted him first, while UT was still going about their evaluations at a glacial pace. It also probably has a lot to do with SC wanting to get a toehold there at his HS.

The thing you have no clue about is I know this kid well I know his family well....I am not a guy who just thinks the kid is great... I have seen his involvment at church, with his family, in the community. Maybe because Iam so close I am biased, but I am telling you the young man is really a stand up kid... no issues, no behavior problems straight a's . As far as Muschamp and virtue go, he is looking at this as who has stepped up and really shown interest. UT is still in the hunt for sure, but if they don't start a relationship with him and his family they will be out in the cold. Just my gut...

No problems..I apologize if that sounded a little too snarky. I just really hope we get MT, and I believe Mushchump is a world class douchebag. I don't understand why every school in the SEC can slow play locals a little, and get away with it, while Tennessee kids get so freakin impatient and insulted about it.

Tenn just doesn't do a good job of setting the hook... you can reel them in slow if you get a jump out there and tell them you would like to have them play ball for you all and set up that meeting with BJ.... but what you can't do is think that every player will shun any other offer while waiting on tennessee to step in the game Gotta remember that several schools waving that national championship program around and it has been a while for tenn. So you just gotta sell it a little harder.

I guess the issue is who is actually getting left out in the cold. It doesn't seem like UT's interest in Teague is incredibly high, no matter the reason.

I'm sure he's a great kid, and I don't know how strong his desire to stay instate is, but at this point, it doesn't look like Tennessee is pursuing all that hard, so it's tough to say they'll be left out in the cold.

I agree..but his parents want him within 6 hours of the Boro so it does limit some options. But if you don't get what you don't want then it is no loss....

Point being, there are 5 players, and 3 of those are at Blackman that UT has expressed interest in, yet are not really pursuiting that hard.By that, there is no Coach going by the High school and visiting with the staff. not much of anything ..only the occasional invite to a Jr day, or practice/ game ...I believe there will be an effort at the begining of the spring to go hot and heavy on some players, but I think big players have already narrowed it down by then, JMO

I cant believe we are paying these coaches hundreds of thousands of dollars to evaluate talent and recruit they must be new at this.

To be fair we DID pay Dooley millions to evaluate talent and recruit. Just because they are making bank doesn't mean they are doing a perfect job and can't be questioned.

But...as some have done, calling them idiots, or saying they're stupid for not going after a kid as hard as some particular fan would like, is a bit far fetched.
