'18 TN RB Master Teague

To be fair we DID pay Dooley millions to evaluate talent and recruit. Just because they are making bank doesn't mean they are doing a perfect job and can't be questioned.

Being questioned by the ill informed mind you.

From a message board standpoint tough. That's a big maybe.

I think it's plausible that there is a poster or two on here that could have "ties" to a local high school program and have an idea of how often and what type contact our coaches have with said HS program.

I also think its plausible there is a method behind the coaches madness.

Never said there wasn't. In fact, On the previous page of this very thread I said "I'm sure they have a plan". Very rarely will you see me speaking in absolutes on here.

I think UT is not as high on him and has been that way since the beginning.

He likes UT but maybe the love isn't mutual.

I don't get it but what do I know? We can get mad about recruits all we want but it won't make any difference whatsoever.

Hopefully this changes because once again Blackman has a few highly talented players and this could cut off that pipeline.

We will see

I think that the only thing that bugs me a lot about this is that if Teague does end up at South Carolina because we decided to pursue others, then all the announcers will say that Muschamp stole Teague from our own backyard. There are often a multitude of possible reasons why a highly-ranked in-state kid does not end up at the state school, but announcers always assume that the home state team just got out-recruited.

Probably will depend on his final rating.

Our staffs recruitment of Teague is a conundrum. Method to their madness or not.

I have no idea where he is on our staff's "board". I guess what I'm questioning is how far down the board does he have to be that the staff isn't showing him the love?? Even if they don't view him at the top, i still think they should be recruiting him hard, unless they just absolutely don't want him to be a Vol for whatever reason. Even then, there are many benefits to spending a lot of time at his school, just showing love in general.

so he's not as high on the coaches board? they take guys all the time then recruit over them before signing day but pass on guys like Teague? makes zero sense to me.

Teague is gonna be the new Randall Cobb. Good athelete, but not really pushed for to become a Vol.

Absolutely false about Cobb. UT told him straight up he was a WR. Ky told him he would be a QB and that's what he wanted to hear. If we had lied he would have been a Vol.
