'18 TN RB Master Teague

Absolutely false about Cobb. UT told him straight up he was a WR. Ky told him he would be a QB and that's what he wanted to hear. If we had lied he would have been a Vol.

You did that with Jennings. He was a QB at Blackman and wanted to play qb at UT... They told him that he would have an opportunity to see if that was a good fit for him... A couple other offers told him he would be a safety or cb...Rest is history.

And like Cobb, he's a potentially all-SEC player at WR. So, I'd say it worked out best for both.

As it pertains to Cobb, late in the recruiting process, Fulmer offered him the chance to compete at QB, but he was already committed to UK and wanted to honor that commitment.

^this.

We were late and Cobb stayed loyal to his commit.

He would have been on the feild as a safety or a cb in other programs... The point being he believed he would have a chance as QB to play teh position he wanted at UT, where he wouldn't at other schools. Gotta remember these are-16-17-18 year old kids Sometimes the perception is reality. I have told my kids plenty of times... you get this done then you can come back and ask me xxxxxxx. No difference

He was given a chance, though. He practiced with the QBs. He wasn't an SEC caliber QB, but he's an All-SEC caliber (almost anything else).

Not trying to throw shade but does the tweet mean he is waiting on an offer from one of the four who have not offered yet?

Well if they're in his top 12 and haven't offered, then I would assume he would be wanting an offer

You act like he didn't get that chance at Tennessee though, and he did, and not only that, he chose himself to switch positions for quicker playing time.

Are you suggesting he should have played at QB over Dobbs?

By no means... I know he got a chance to play practice QB...I am say that there was a previous statement made that Cobb would have come to UT had he been told something other than he was going to be WR...My point was Jennings had multiple offers to go play CB, and safety, but UT told him they would consider him at qb and give him a shot... that was all it took to sway him... Sometimes figuring out where you fit in works better than being told you need to look at differnt positions.

Butch and coach G need to get this guy in orange

If you haven't noticed I have backed off this stance. One thing Butch and company has proven is they can land backs. I hope he lands here but I'm sure we will get a great back in this class. Maybe this one.

Still so much time.

I am sure, I'm just a big fan of Teague's game

isnt that the complaint about Teague? That we aren't going all in for him?

I've softened my stance on this. Y'all were right.

Butch has landed Hurd, Kamara, Kelly, CFA, and Chandler since arriving.

Pretty good track record.

Based on what Teague told reporters isn both SC and UGA, UT is recruiting him harder than any other team getting at least 2 calls a week. I knew he had recieved a few calls, but did not know the frequency. Just goes to show, you never know what is going on behind the Big Orange curtain.....
