'18 TN RB Master Teague

I said I agree with him on that but we don't play there. Pointing out Meyer's schedule doesn't give us the wins we need here. We can complain over the difference until we turn blue but that doesn't fix a d*** thing. We only have one avenue for resolution.

Nobody said it did fix anything. But it's just some perspective. That's literally all.

The ending definitely was changed. Look at the white shirt throughout, then the white shirt at the end, different shirt, he definitely did an edit to the original,

Yeah, I think he probably did the Ohio state one yesterday .

This year the instate guys seem to be loving Tennessee for the most part. Next year is very promising, too. Start at least winning the east again and I think that problem goes away. We are only a few years removed from a streak of 5-7 bottom dwelling.

Yes, it does seem much better this year, overall.

It's okay to be upset we missed him... We just HAVE to get someone else as good or better

No reason to be upset. RBs are a dime a dozen. We'll be fine. Frankly, I'll be shocked if OSU does, indeed, take all 3 of these RBs in a single class. Both the others are rated higher than Teague. He might find himself on the outside looking in if things continue to go OSU's way. Could be a victim of a numbers crunch.

I thought about this earlier, and wonder what will happen if he is asked to look around as signing day approaches.

Its simple we win and they will come..... 8-4 9-5 you wont get elite guys like this.... Quit getting butthurt guys.... Damn it sucks but hes 17 yrs old yall too grown to be crying like this... This isnt 2001 UT... We are otw back... Is Butch gonna get us to Atl in December no clue but he's left us better than he found us

It would be typical Urban and really sh!tty, but he won't have any problem finding another school. When a D1 coach does that to a kid that only has a handful of D1 offers, that's when the kid has to scramble and may get stuck going to a lower level of college football.

I'm sure he'd find a spot with auburn. Kid just doesn't want to be in Knoxville and that's fine. Some just want to get away from home. No crime in that.

edit:

Just watched the film of the other two backs in the OSU class. Teague is the 3rd best back behind the other two. Kid is star struck by Urb and OSU, but he's going to find minutes hard to come by.

We have a really nice class developing with a lot of elite guys already, and more getting ready to jump in the boat. RB recruiting is puzzling so far but I'm not worried.

..............I haven't seen film, but it doesn't sound like a HUGE loss, although I assume we wanted him. I also want kids that bleed ORANGE, but I do understand that Tennessee kids have grown up watching us lose.

How 'bout we fix that?!?!?

Good luck to the young man. Hope he rpresents thestate well in his career. But hate to lose him. However, we will get 2 good backs.in this class.

I'm a negavol for life, but for some reason, this isn't bothering me like it would other in state players. It's not like he's top 5 or elite . Sure, it would be nice to land him, but this isn't a "mattress burning" loss

If he's really running a 4.31 with that power, this is a big loss. But at least he isnt going to an SEC school. Just hate how he spurned the home school

You guys can freak out all you want but there are plenty of backs just as good. I'm not saying he isn't tallented and we didn't want him anyway, what I'm saying is that we can get someone just as good that wants to put on that orange on Saturday and wants to take the field in the greatest stadium in the country. Ohio State is a great program but it pales in comparison to Neyland in the fall tucked up against that river full of rabid members of the Vol Navy. No team's fans support their team like the big Orange. VA tech learned that last year in Bristol. I want players that want to be apart of that, not ones that are totally focused on them being in the spotlight. And, don't tell me he has a better chance of getting to the league in Columbus because it's simply not true. Talent always rises to the top and he'll get just as much exposure at Tennessee playing in the toughest conference in college football.

I really don't think that 4.31 time is accurate. He's probably around 4.4 range. Remember when everyone said Hurd was so fast in high school? He looked slower against SEC defenses.

Unfortunate the moral cess pool that Florida was in during Meyer's time there cannot be overlooked. I firmly of the school of thought that Tebow was elevated SO much because everything else in that program was so bad.

There's no reason to think the same thing won't happen at Ohio State except that, as already mentioned, OSU doesn't play the in conference schedule that Florida plays in the SEC.

What frustrates/saddens me about this recruitment is for the moral things to have been made such a big deal and then for him to end up at OSU.

I know every coach/school is dirty to some degree, but Meyer has shown to be one of the dirtiest. He wins, but at what cost.

Too many in-state kids with this attitude.

And that same attitude will continue to prevail until UT starts playing for titles again and getting players drafted on a regular basis again just like in the 90's. In state kids need to grow up seeing the Vols a perennial national power before this attitude changes.

It was obvious that Meyer couldn't handle the pressure that goes with coaching in the SEC. He ran off like a scared little puppy. He said "hey look! Here is a weak conference where I only have to play one it two games a year."
