Unfortunate the moral cess pool that Florida was in during Meyer's time there cannot be overlooked. I firmly of the school of thought that Tebow was elevated SO much because everything else in that program was so bad.
There's no reason to think the same thing won't happen at Ohio State except that, as already mentioned, OSU doesn't play the in conference schedule that Florida plays in the SEC.
What frustrates/saddens me about this recruitment is for the moral things to have been made such a big deal and then for him to end up at OSU.
I know every coach/school is dirty to some degree, but Meyer has shown to be one of the dirtiest. He wins, but at what cost.
C'mon man. You are biased against UT and it's obvious. UT just had a great draft and we've churned out some high profile stars even during our downtime (the afore mentioned Berry and Foster as examples). OSO has been better, no doubt, but not to the level you speak. And using GA and AU as examples is just bad form and foolish on your part.
We ought not worry too long about Teague. Like Higgins, he's proven himself to be a maleable follower. We will do as good, or better, with the other RBs we're in on. I won't go so far as to wish him success at OSU, but I wish him no harm. After all, few are harmed sitting on the benches on the sidelines in Columbus,OH. And that's where, hopefully, no harm comes to him.
Plus both of these kids will get their turns at those schools as long as they keep their heads in straight. This makes us look like a 2nd rate program. "Hey good luck never playing there cause you're not good enough. When you could've come here and played cause we're not as good."
If they're good enough to play here then I want them to be good enough to play anywhere. You don't build a championship program by fielding a roster of kids that aren't good enough to play for championship programs.
Anyone wanna go on record to say he won't be a Buckeye come signing day? With the class they have going right now I wouldn't be surprised he gets pushed out. Not because he isn't good enough but because their class is STACKED
Based on all I've read here about this guy I hate losing him. But hey, it happens; can't get em all. And I'm not upset with him; he has to do what he thinks is best for him. But again, based on what I've read here about what they were looking for it makes no sense whatsoever.
You wanna buikd it or want it already built. Where will your legacy be remembered longer OSU or UT? He'd be remembered here and in 15 years he probably wouldn't be recognized by a OSU fan. But hey, what do I know.
Did I say Rb only or draft pk producers? Stop being so sensitive and taking things so personal. He has multiple NFL guys out there playing on Sundays, and 3 1st rd picks and 7 over all this past draft. In 2016 he put out 12 overall and 5 1st rd picks I understand the 6 pks from this year for UT, and hope that continues. But ppl lets be rational tOSU is churning out guys yr in and yr out. They have been in the playoff, a NC in 14, and they also know of the HC and his success at UF, BG, etc. The kids today look at whats hot, who's winning and contending for NC, and if they hv a chance to win there. All the fandom is usually not the case for concern with them. UT has a good staff and all I hope all the changes makes things get to where they need to be, but in recruiting right now they're just not a tier 1 school for many guys. They're definitely closing the gap but they have to stop squandering the east title and win convincingly not with lucky hail marrys etc. The talent is definitely there and its not close in he East between UT and Fla its been coaching and kids see that. Ppl spk on Aub and UGA i agree but they've won and hv celebrity alumns like Cam and Gurley who kids know and love to watch. UT most reputable alumn to date is still Peyton whonis retired and 40 yrs old. Now do you all understand w/o bias?
