Character is pretty overplayed in the coaching profession. Don't get me wrong there are some true scumbags but it's a dog eat dog profession and most will do what it takes to succeed. It's all a matter of perspective. What isn't debatable is Butch has dropped a few games to our in state rival who shouldn't be a rival anyways. Oh and the guy after Meyer, the one Florida ran out of town, is undefeated against Butch. If you want to stop losing out on kids like this who are instate, start winning the games you should win. I like Butch and I want him to be successful but I don't blame a family for sending their kid to the best situation for their kid to succeed.

How many draft eligible RBs has urban recruited, one was taken 4th. They will only take elite talent at RB. Sorry if that bothers you. Obviously some elite talent doesn't produce due to any one of a million factors that impact a kid leaving home for the first time. Talent is, without question, something Teague doesn't lack.

So what you're saying is that Ohio State offers that makes them elite but if it doesn't work out and he doesn't produce, it's on the kid? Not player development, not scheme, not lack of guidance off the field, not culture of the program?

You can suck on OSU all you want, but just because he was offered by OSU doesn't make him anymore elite the the 50 other players that have similar rankings.

Final rankings are not complete crap. I will give you that you see some different bias in them but bowl wins and OOC wins against good teams mean something. OSU was arguably the best Big 10 team and they got their doors blown off. If the SEC is crap including the East and yes it is weak compared to several years ago, then the Big 10 outside of a couple of teams is S H i .........you get where that is going. Matchups with big 10 and SEC teams have been laughable the last several years. SEC has one team that is dominating all of college football but that doesn't make the rest of the league crap. SEC is still having 5-6 teams in the top 10 on signing day. Just answer me this. If OSU was in the SEC West, how many wins do they have in a season before a bowl game? I want every SEC team to lose as many as possible and UT to go 8-0 in conference. I am not pulling for the SEC for the sake to say UT is good but the SEC is great. The facts are overall, the SEC is still very strong and the WAS like I stated earlier was due to it not being as strong but that doesn't by any means make it weaker than the BIG 10 even NOW when standing toe to toe.

Looks like everyone has moved on from the whole Teague picking Ohio State over us thing. All is well and good on VN.

This hurts. but we don't have to forfeit any games because of this or go Texas Tech and abandon the run.

but the Butch bashing is ridiculous and is what leads to the rumors of him being on the hot seat and kids not wanting to play for him because he may not be there.

as other people have mentioned how great of a coach was Dabo while he "Clemsoned" it. the school keeps him long enough and he wins big. not saying Butch will do that, but you can't say it can't or even won't be done by Butch.

Ezekiel Elliot fits the Urban mold perfectly. Very talented, total head case. He will not be in the league very long unless he gets his head on straight, which he probably won't.

Well dang, man. I must have been totally following the wrong Kamara. I could have sworn that he signed with Alabama, redshirted, transferred to JUCO, the back to Tennessee. Like I said earlier, we can debate the reasons but it happened, exactly, like, that!

Lol, you're struggling. This whole discussion was about Urban Meyer offering a recruit and that made him elite.

I think that Teague has great potential, never said otherwise, but just because Urban offers doesn't make him elite. He's missed more than he's hit from the running back position. I can't believe how some believe he's some God. Well, he is a snake oil salesman so maybe so.
