'18 TN RB Master Teague

The way they are recruiting right now it makes one near it if they're a take.

Facts don't matter to that particular poster. Ohio state is desperate, they'll likely finish about 60th in recruiting if they're taking guys like Teague in June. Or, they know what they're doing. Hard to say. Urban hasn't proven much.

Character is pretty overplayed in the coaching profession. Don't get me wrong there are some true scumbags but it's a dog eat dog profession and most will do what it takes to succeed. It's all a matter of perspective. What isn't debatable is Butch has dropped a few games to our in state rival who shouldn't be a rival anyways. Oh and the guy after Meyer, the one Florida ran out of town, is undefeated against Butch. If you want to stop losing out on kids like this who are instate, start winning the games you should win. I like Butch and I want him to be successful but I don't blame a family for sending their kid to the best situation for their kid to succeed.

You daddyChad get it and are one of a few who can openly admit this. Remember the phrase it's always a good feeling when you have 102k Vol fans sad. Well he did it more times than he should. Damn Boom Muschamp and the mighty D. Mason lol coached circles around CBJ but ppl hate to hear that.

The sec is the best conference by a wide margin. An average recruiting class in the sec is 14th in the nation. Average in the big ten is 50th. There is no close 2nd. You can dismiss the sec east but Tennessee would win the sorry big ten division every year, they can name their score v Iowa, nw, due, Indi, Neb. Wisc is ok. The sec is on an entirely different level. Vt nearly beat Clemson for the acc title, Tennessee played poorly and beat the **** out of them. The acc stinks. The big 12 is glorified high school. The pac 12 is decent.....offensively.

Are we talking recruiting or results? UT wouldn't win the BIG10 by no means, hell they can't win the damn SECE with Vandy and USCe in it. You want to bring up the ACC well only 1 team in the SEC can contend with the top 2 in the ACC and that's Alabama. You now reach and say nearly beat, OK. Well in football you count 2 things WINS and LOSES. Close, nearly, almost only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades. Come to your senses JKF

You just ripped UT for it's close win over UGA at UGA and now you say this? At this point I don't think you are smart enough to be in this discussion.

Uhh, so VaTech "nearly beat" Clemson and we "played poorly and beat the **** out of" VaTech means something, but I guess the fact that Bama beat us at home by like 7 tds and then Clemson beat Bama for all the marbles is more or less meaningless. I see where you are going there - excellent logic, grasshopper.

The transitive property doesnt work in football

I'm wondering if we get him even if Ohio State hadn't offered? Butch needs to win some this year to lock down the state more.

I would like to believe that he would've committed to UT if OSU wouldn't have offered. I agree and have said multiple times winning cures a lot that is ailing recruiting at the moment.

We lead for Emerson and Litaker. We already have Taylor, Harris, Lawless, and Mays committed. That's 6 of the top 9 players in the state (per 247). Depending on what the staff does with Cam Johnson, who we were also in the lead for, that only leaves Wray and Davis to finish off the top 10.

I think he's doing a pretty good job already locking the state down. JMO.

Nobody says that you have to attend a school in which you live in or are from...Players go where they want for many reasons including getting out of state

Didn't want to start that argument with 10 more pages about how we settle for mediocrity if we don't demand perfect seasons

Some folks don't understand that going from 0 to 60 takes time. Especially when you have to change out the engine because your last engine was a Dooley and they run on criticism and shower etiquette.
