Not that I disagree with you about the perception of Jones, and how it is being used against him in recruiting, but you appear to be continuously moving the goalposts in this discussion.

We lead for Emerson and Litaker. We already have Taylor, Harris, Lawless, and Mays committed. That's 6 of the top 9 players in the state (per 247). Depending on what the staff does with Cam Johnson, who we were also in the lead for, that only leaves Wray and Davis to finish off the top 10.

I think he's doing a pretty good job already locking the state down. JMO.

He's doing a great job in-state this year. He needs to produce a win over LSU or Bama to signal we are BACK nationally. Beating LSU sends a huge message to recruits.

I think we are more likely to beat LSU than Bama. LSU has been a mystery in the past few years. They obviously put out great talent especially on defense but they're not Bama consistent.

I agree with this. Beating Florida and Georgia and winning the East would do so as well IMO even if we did not beat bambi and LSU. Need to play competitively as well.

You forget we were down before a defensive touchdown. A strip sack, which is an unlikely play. So we weren't up big then lost it. It was a battle back and forth on the road.

Ppl around here need to grow up and be adults of class. Who cares what Blaze said, or where he went. I applaud the ppl who say wish him well. If he had committed to UT he'd have been the best rb in America. He didn't so now he'll be a bench warmer, won't get over 100 carries, he and his parents are this or that. Kid has pro intangibles, works relentlessly and will likely be a player for tOSU just as he would've been here.

The problem with a win over LSU this year is that it will be spun by opposing coaches that LSU was in a transition year, new coach, new system, etc, etc, etc.

Not in recruits minds. I'm telling you they are waiting for us to beat a newer powerhouse. Bama dragging Florida as of late makes a win over them not mean as much. We've got to get a flair type of win. Dominating a good team will do that too. We need to destroy a big name team to send the message that we are back and not going anywhere.

Grant is actually ranked higher than Teague in the 247 composite (21 to 25) but ok. Remember I said similar not better.

Chandler and Fils Aime will get carries, while Teague will have to fight not to RS. Whoever we sign as the other back this year, whether Grant, Franklin, Dixon, St Julien, or some other RB that pops up during the season, they would probably see carries next season.
