I'm sorry Glitch but you are wrong there buddy. How much can we really tell the difference on the field from a 4.48 to a 4.58? Not a lot but comparing a 4.48 to a 4.68 you can tell the difference. That player with the 4.48 will pretty much run away from that 4.68 guy but not the 4.58 guy. Thanks buddy.

I thought I had seen on the first post saying he was clocked at a 4.48.... No way he is a 4.48... But I wouldn't say he is slow...

Don't give a damn about his forty time if he is a football player give me 22 4.75 football players and you take these so called 4.4 guys and i will kick your azz everytime most of these so called 4.4 times are 4,7 when you put the watch on them.

Is the point of your post that speed isn't a major factor in building a good football team? If so please look at the teams from the Dooley era. He did not focus on speed and it was THE major change Butch had to address when he got here.

You never said anything about a 4.68. You are the one who said he looked more like a 4.58 than a 4.48 on film. You said those things in the posts I quoted. You cannot say that you didn't.

I agree that if you were watching a 4.48 guy and a 4.68 guy, the 4.48 guy would run away from the 4.68 guy. However, your post above was the first time you mention 4.68. It's ok to be wrong.

Tony makes nonsensical statements. People call Tony out for his nonsensical statements. Tony then argues acting like the second person is who made his original nonsensical statement. Rinse. Repeat.

He either doesn't have the ability to thinking logically, or he's an expert level troll.

Pedigo you back on the coaching circuit buddy?

Soon to be a 5 star!

Have you guys actually seen him play? I have as my son plays at CAK. I wish the best for this young man and hope he has a great career at UT or wherever he goes. But, He is in no way shape or form a 5 star recruit. He is really about in line with what I played against at Appalachian State in my time there. He's a good player but he is not a "beast" nor is he a high 4star or 5star at this point.

Edit: I'm not trying to tear this kid down either. I believe he will wind up at UT and I don't want people to have unreasonable expectations for him and to call him a bust when he doesn't see the field his freshman year.

My comment was tongue in cheek. I was taking a jab at Oscar Meyer.

May I ask what you are basing your evaluation on? I have not seen him play in person. I do know that Alcoa does not throw it around a lot. I am assuming that he is not standing out like you think a 4 or 5 star player should...is that accurate?

They don't throw the ball. But he is really thin and his posted forty time is far from accurate based on what I've seen. Four and five star players should be ready to make an impact early and I haven't seen that he is anywhere near physically ready or capable of that. It's possible he can develop into a really solid player but he will not make it to the field as a freshman at UT. Doesn't mean he's not a take, that's for the coaches to decide.

"I think there's a reason he decided to push back his commitment after he announced a couple weeks ago that he would be making his choice within the next few days. Not sure Tennessee is willing to take him at this point. I think he still might have some work to do academically, for one thing, and I think the Vols like some of the other receivers they're recruiting."

Callahan

So he may not even be a take

Why even offer then if this is the case? They could have offered much later on if they didn't think he was a take in my opinion.
