'18 TN WR Tykee Kellogg

Because if TN doesn't offer their instate prospects early enough, they feel slighted. We can't do what other schools do with instate prospects for some reason.

+1. Good point. I myself have raised a little cane over not going after in-state prospects enough & or hard enough. Thanks.

He was told to get his grades in order. Now he may not be a take, but what he was told, was that he needs to get his grades up. Could be true or could be the coaches telling him that so that they don't piss anyone off if he becomes a take.

I don't get kids not having the minimum grades. You literally have to try to not get qualifying grades nowadays.

Sad that this isn't a joke. Literally if a teacher gives a below C average they better have a good reason why the student didn't pass their class

As somebody who deals with teenagers every day, you severely underestimate the apathy, laziness, and lack of fear of consequences that exists in the minds of our youth. An alarming number of kids today have either no parental guidance at home or snowflake parents....and we are seeing the results.

Alcoa is a very good school academically and they will fail you if you don't put in the work. They have an outstanding support system to help struggling students, but they don't pass everyone.

If its Tennessee recruiting an instate kid, they get pissed off if they aren't offered immediately and then recruited appropriately. Meanwhile, LSU and Georgia and most other schools can make a kid wait until 3 days before NSD and then shoot them an offer causing that recruit to immediately flip as that was the offer they had been waiting on. It's bull****.

Tennessee kids always think somewhere else is better. Well..that's not really fair. It just seems like a lot of the highest ranked Tennessee kids do.

Agree, Butch has to make us relevant again but not easy to do in this conference with the way other schools recruit. If he can just get us to the SEC Championship game, it could make a huge difference. Many of these kids probably look at this program similar to how they look at Vandy or Kentucky.

Indicating on twitter he's interested in the UTSA Roadrunners.

Guessing he's not a take anymore after our recent commitments?
