'18 TN WR Tykee Kellogg

There is a Fulton player transferring to Alcoa this year. I regretfully cannot recall his name, but he is a good receiver, though I am pretty sure he's not a D1 prospect. It will be interesting to see if Alcoa changes their offense any to get the ball more to playmakers like Kellogg.

If I remember correctly there qb last year was a senior and more of a runner. My friend who coaches there has said that the back has a good arm. I believed he played some last year.

Fulton's QB is going to be only a junior this year. His name is Xavier Malone and he is listed as a pro style by 247. He is more of a passer, but he can run some.

He's not transferring to Alcoa no more . I know him personally.

Tony there is little chance this kid ever sniffs a 5 star rating. My son plays at CAK and I've seen him play a few times and haven't been overly impressed at all. I'm actually a bit surprised he would be a take for a high level SEC team. Maybe he just hasn't been on his game when I've seen him. He's tall and thin and doesn't seem to have really great speed. But if he wants to be a Vol and the coaches want him I'm all in!

You're probably right about the 5* stuff. I did say an outside chance which would mean it's pretty low. I'm basing all of my opinion on watching about 6 videos of him. 4 of the games were against solid/good competition & the other two against not so good teams. He played well in them all except one.

What I noticed more than anything is that he is a solid blocker. You're right on his speed. He's not a burner. He will be more of a possession WR like a Kelly Washington that used to play at UT but Kellogg is much taller than Kelly was.

I just don't think there's much doubt in my mind that he does become a 4* WR though for sometime next football season. Maybe after the season is over or just before but he has enough WR skills to me to be a force with his height & jumping ability with mediocre speed.

He's also a physical guy as well running with the ball. Has a solid stiff arm & runs with authority. That's way good enough for me as a Vol fan. Signing a 4* WR would be very nice from in-state like we did with Josh Malone except Malone was a 5* with a couple recruiting services coming out of high school. Thanks.
