'19 CA QB JT Daniels (Georgia commit)

If I was Dabo, I wouldn’t leave Clemson simply because I’d built my own dynasty at Clemson. What would be said if he went to Bama and didn’t fill Saban’s shoes to their expectations? Nope. Wouldn’t touch it.
Exactly my point. They won’t replace Saban with a national championship coach unless urban Meyer comes back or something ridiculous.

Yeah I had to do a doubletake on that one. Could not belive how bad he missed on that throw.
You can tell even the camera man could see it clear as day. The guy wasn't expecting him to throw it to a guy in quadruple coverage, he was tracking the receiver in the middle of the endzone. Cannot wait for the JG era to be over.

That’s why in the end I think he’ll say no. They’ll be ready to fire him at the first sign of trouble.

Especially when you consider that there's some bitterness down there about him preventing Alabama from winning it all. Combine that with lackluster results and they'd be thrilled to can him. I'm sure Dabo would love to go back from a sentimental perspective, but there's no way any sane person would leave what he's built.

I hate to say it but you all are insane if you don't think Pruitt doesn't go to Alabama when they offer, post Saban.

I've literally went from wishing Saban would hang it up, to hoping he sticks around long enough for CJP to get us "back." And then fingers crossed the next AD hires the right guy.

But yeah.... Alabama kid, transferred to play at Alabama, cut his teeth coaching in/at Alabama. And sadly, it's just so much easier there. Better local talent and in Alabama they treasure football and a winning culture, whereas a lot of people around Tennessee resent the football program and don't care about their success as much. I know that to be true becaue MIT Beaver told me. :)

Would work out great if Ainsley takes over if Pruitt happens to leave

Won’t ever make it to Pruitt. It’s Dabo’s job.

I think it depends on several factors. Are we offering competitive or better compensation? What is the state of our program at that time? How satisfied is Jeremy Pruitt with living here and his contentment with the job?

If UT is doing well on the field, he's well paid and he's happy with life in general then why would you leave? This is an elite job, easily one of the best in the country. You don't just leave it if things are going well.

Nobody should want to be the guy to follow Nick Saban. The situation here might be far more conducive to success than dealing with the pressure of being the guy to follow a legend. You can win here just as big as you can at Alabama.

Who would want to be the guy who had to follow Saban? Couldn’t be me.

Dabo has hinted that he will take the Bama job once it opens.

I don't understand why he would leave his cult followers in Clemson, especially with how weak the ACC is, but his words/contract suggests he will.

Ehh, there’s always a change but Clemson will be ready to match whatever the pay is from Bama. They won’t just let him walk.

Tennessee cares as much about football as does Alabama
