19 students, 3 adults dead in Texas elementary shooting.

You're not kidding. She is going to need therapy for a long time to come.

She may also end up having to move.

Did you see where the husband of one of the teachers who were killed died? Died of a broken heart. That’s horrifying. Within a few days an entire family was wiped out. So sad.

No I get it. You view the trigger as deadlier than the lever.

I just struggle with the entire notion of one Right carrying less weight than another.
But do you think a person who has made threats to shoot up a school should be allowed to purchase a gun?
Do you think a person who threatens to intentionally vote for the worst candidate should be allowed to vote?
Do you see more circumstances which would be legitimate reasons to deny a person the right to purchase a gun than you do for denying a person the right to vote?

Well there may have been a slow response time in TX, but about 40 deputies (plus God knows how many undercover) and 10 K9 are on full display in Huntsville tonight to make sure that no Widespread Panic fans eat, drink or smoke anything in violation of Alabama ordinances. As always an excellent use of resources by the right!!!

It literally makes me sick to my stomach. And those poor kids. Imagine what isn't like to cover yourself in your dead friends blood and play dead....for an hour. Its absolutely sickening.

What's widespread panic? Is that the new covid strain?

I’ve never thought about restricting someone’s vote.

I can assure you I am unabashedly myself in person. I have zero patience for those I deem foolish. I reciprocate kindness, respect, and intelligence.

I've no desire to be in central Florida and, again, I've no craving for coffee.
0 tolerance would mean someone at some point just didn’t teach you a lesson given the fact we all run into people we see as foolish every single day. We tend to refer to them as democrats. But I personally don’t approach said democrats with hostility like you do on here for the right wing. That being said I assume you wouldn’t approach someone in a American flag t shirt with said hostility either. So I’m calling BS.

But if the rights are equal why would there be justifiable reasons to restrict one but not the other?

It's a trivial point, but that's why I said mostly but not completely equal.

Reasonable question. Immediacy of the threat I suppose. We are not supposed to infringe on others rights.

Sometimes you have to infringe on one person's rights to protect the rights of many. I know there are some posters in the PF who absolutely hate that reality and try their damnedest to deny the necessity.

No better example than a person who can be reasonably presumed to be a threat of committing acts of mass violence.
