19 students, 3 adults dead in Texas elementary shooting.

No doubt. Except when it isn't. Society must be wise enough to distinguish between the two.

Freedom comes at a price of evildoers that will always dwell among us. It's why you're able to do what you do in this great country. Don't take advantage of the benefits then tell other citizens they aren't worthy.

I think too many are overly obsessed with protecting the rights of the individual.
I see bad decisions knowingly made on a daily basis in the name of rights of the individual.

We desperately need to get back to acknowledging that there is a trade off that frequently has to be made.

So the FBI and Facebook knew about his possible intentions based on social media posts and they just ignore it? So what you are saying is the FBI is incompetent.

Just stop with your trade off of rights argument. You have been made to look dumb. There are serious questions that need to be answered in this case. But I know, you believe if there were much tighter gun legislation, then this wouldn’t have happened. There is zero evidence to back that up. You just won’t look at the fact that this kid was evil.

Give me a logical and rational reason as to why I shouldn’t be able buy 5 AR-15s with high capacity mags and a thousand rounds of ammo if I want to. Remember I am a law abiding citizen whom has never broken the law.

With Luther you might as well be asking an elephant to fly.

Kinda reminds of someone getting bent out of shape in another thread saying nobody needed a truck as a daily driver.

Casting their vote irresponsibly.
You can assume that, without knowing how I vote (I suppose), but I can definitively say that I am a responsible gun owner. I don’t contribute to our extremely poor track record of irresponsible gun ownership in this country. Clearly, not everyone in this country can say that.

I do believe you voted for Biden, you voted for him in the primary and the same with Hillary in 2916 so if that’s true you are an irresponsible voter. I hope you are more of a responsible gun owner than you are a voter.

When we stop protecting the rights of the individual the country is done.
When we overly focus on the rights of the individual, we get to where we are today.
I figured all of the "there are only two genders" people would understand that there must be a balance.

This photo was posted on the Daniel Defense Twitter account May 16 with the caption "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it."Daniel Defense

Daniel himself acknowledged the effect of high-profile shootings on his business five years after 20 kids and six teachers were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut.

“The mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary in 2012 drove a lot of sales,” Daniel said in a 2017 interview with Forbes. “That was a horrible event and we don’t use those kinds of terrible things to drive sales, but when people see politicians start talking about gun control, they have this fear and they go out and buy guns.”

Brave heroical cops often have an excuse for not being proactive in active shooter events, and providing bogus reports or news conferences.

Parents and loved ones who were gathered outside Robb Elementary during the shooting begged and shouted at police to enter and protect their kids.
Angeli Rose Gomez told The Wall Street Journal she was handcuffed by U.S. marshals outside the school for repeatedly demanding police enter the school.
“The police were doing nothing,” she said to the paper. “They were just standing outside the fence. They weren’t going in there or running anywhere.”
She said at first she waited patiently then when she became more fervent with her pleas, U.S. marshals allegedly arrested her for intervening in an active investigation.
Marshals told NBC News in a statement that deputy marshals “never arrested or placed anyone in handcuffs while securing the crime scene perimeter.”
“Our deputy marshals maintained order and peace in the midst of the grief-stricken community that was gathering around the school."

Police waited an hour for backup in the Uvalde shooting. That's an outdated tactic, experts say.

Not even remotely related unless you’re being a hypocrite since you promote mental illness on one hand and don’t on the other. Owning a gun is a right. Pretending to be something you’re not may be as well but everyone else doesn’t have to participate.

No. We don’t restrict rights on the basis of “they might”. The individual has to actually do something and be convicted or committed first.
Should the guy who just shot up the school been allowed to purchase guns?

What about a seventeen year old kid with a history of emotional outbursts who says, "when I turn 18, I am buying a gun and going on a rampage."
Should he be convicted of a crime? Committed? Allowed to buy a gun the day he turns 18?

So the kid who just shot up the school. Was it appropriate to allow him to purchase guns?

I voted for him in the general, but he was my last choice in the primary… but let’s not devolve a good philosophical debate into a conclusion that I’m wrong based on your political partisanship.

Yea let’s change the subject since you voted for the s*** show happening now.

You are switching the topic on freedom vs the mentally ill who wasn't diagnosed. There were warning signs that were ignored. That is part of the problem. If this reprobate had been diagnosed then there's a good chance he's not able to purchase the gun. Does this mean he wouldn't have resorted to other options? Who knows?
