Is that why the left wants them emasculated?
Hey look. We agree on somethingJust use Occam's razor until you have more to back that up. The chief might not be cooperating for any number of reasons. For example, maybe the men weren't told to stand down, that was just made up to cover for them and they don't have answers as to why they were told to stand down because it's not what happened.
Ok, and what exactly is a “mass killing machine”?Agree that laws don't stop the criminally bent. What does make sense is denying access to mass-killing machines, if for naught else, reduce the body counts. Now, if the Ruskies pulled an Ukraine on the USA, I'd change my tune immediately. However, a citizen war on unarmed and innocent citizens isn't the same thing.
They’ll sue whoever sold the gun, ammo, etc., whoever delivered it and anyone else who touched the things the shooter used. There’s another active case in Texas right now where Texas has sidestepped the Federal exemption that would apply to the seller because the plaintiffs claim the seller sold it illegally. It’s related to the school shooting from 2018 (Santa Fe). I know the company that sold it and they’re adamant they did not break any laws but they’re still in a big legal battle nonetheless. In that suit the plaintiffs sued the seller, the warehousing company that fulfilled the order, Fed Ex who delivered it. I also know the company that warehoused it and, of course, they have no negligence at all but it doesn’t matter. They either have to pay a ton of legal fees to continue fighting or settle. I’m betting a settlement will happen at some point. I know you were talking about suing the city but there will be multiple suits come from this and it will take years to sort out.Potential criminal indictments but most likely everyone gets canned and then get ready for the HUUUUUUGE civil lawsuit that will utterly bankrupt the city itself. State will take it in the tailpipe as well. That's what state is angling for now tho - its to ensure that culpability for mistakes lands on locals as much as possible.
Ummm, yet another snarky insult, OK, I'll play. My post complimented border patrol for taking the initiative to stop the killings. You insist it was something exactly the opposite. Which suggests, why you and certain of the rightists want the killings to continue unabated. It's biased responses like yours that is why I post a lot of the things I do in the politics forum. Respond or not, I won't bother to do the same, as it's pointless to try to discourse with folks with so biased, rigid and fossilized psyches.
I don't know who "we" is but in my area, I see them. Some are members of motorcycle clubs (gangs?), then there's that over-weaponized guy in the Aldi store. To be fair, open carriers aren't overly prevalent even where I live, but you see them here and there. As is true that one size doesn't fit all, one location doesn't speak for all locations.
You got gun carriers these days who feel they are some god or another, just looking an excuse to use or show off their gun(s).
The same guy afraid of someone strutting pushed his head against the barrel of a gun that was pulled on him? Yeah, I call BS.That's a lie, intentional or not, still a lie. I've had a gun stuck in my face twice in my lifetime. Once while walking down a street, a car full of punks pulled up, one jumped with a .357, comes up close and personal with it aimed inches from my head. One of his buds shouted, "That ain't him!" Guy jumps back in the car, and they speed off. The other, was I exited a Kmart store, guy walking ahead of me whirled around pointed a .38 at my head. It made me mad, I pushed my head against the barrel and glared to him. Three seconds of that, and he ran off to his car and left. Don't try telling me there aren't jackasses who will pull a gun on you for no reason at all, it's dayum lie.
I was waiting to see if anyone else picked up on that BS. It’s obvious that, like many liberals) lawgator is commenting about a subject (weapons) that he knows nothing about.WTF is "proof of insurance" for a gun? Do I only need liability, or do I have to carry collision too in case I shoot someone accidentally?
I was thinking of calling BS on that too

Instead of stupidly accusing people on the right of wanting kids to be killed you could assume that no one wants kids to be killed and realize that people simply disagree on the way to make it happen because there is no simple answer.Ummm, yet another snarky insult, OK, I'll play. If only the guy had been strutting…I’ve never had a firearm pulled on me but I’m pretty sure that if It happened , I wouldn’t give a sh!t what caliber it was and I for damn sure WOULD NOT press my head against the barrel and dare the person to follow through with the plan .. that’s some Hollywood movie bs.
I’ve had to draw 2 times. One was to kill a wild animal charging at me. The other was when a crack head broke into my house with a knife he stole from my neighbors house. I begged him not to make me kill him. Fortunately he gave up and eventually the police arrived. (Worst experience of my life) I’ve never been drawn on. I do not want to be either.I’ve never had a firearm pulled on me but I’m pretty sure that if It happened , I wouldn’t give a sh!t what caliber it was and I for damn sure WOULD NOT press my head against the barrel and dare the person to follow through with the plan .. that’s some Hollywood movie bs.
Why didn't you grab the knife and press it into your forehead?I’ve had to draw 2 times. One was to kill a wild animal charging at me. Taking my ability to defend myself won’t stop someone else from pulling a gun on me. That’s just ****ing stupid
This is interesting. Not the crackhead but the animal. What was it and what did you bring it down with?I’ve had to draw 2 times. One was to kill a wild animal charging at me.
