I think you can include the women's lib movement as a major contributor. If you choose to have children, then they need a parent - whether the wife or the husband. Kids need to come home from school to a parent and have a parent get them off to school. Since multigenerational families have never been big in our current culture; that pretty much means both parents can't be off at work.

Addressing culture is the tough conversation that people pretend to want to talk about but almost never do. We live in a culture that glorifies violence. Its plain and simple. Our country was born out of brutal, stomach turning, and merciless violence.

We also live in a culture where everyone is a victim and that, combined with our culture of glorying violence, is what breeds incidents like this.

That being said I can't wrap my mind around how mentally ill you have to be to kill kids.

I just saw a receipt that shows he snagged one for $1800. I wonder if his gram gram Abuela, who he shot (dont know if killed) forked over the cash for this.

I'd say more like the Camaro IROC Z of assault rifles.

That being said, its weird to drop that kind of money on DD considering he probably had some intention of going batsh!t nuts with them. Should have just gone with Palmetto State.
(Full disclosure..I have a Palmetto State AR..but I want a DD..just dont hunt enough to justify the cost)

Narcissism has always been around, but technology has accelerated it beyond all reason. Look at all it takes for someone to become an "expert" with YouTube, or a "news source" on Twitter. Cameras on cellphones are the devil's spawn - look at people doing selfies ... like they matter. It's disgusting to walk through an airport and see people staring into a cellphone and doing cutesy pictures. Nobody cares what you are doing all day.

If he got it for $1800 now we know, the gun lobby is behind this, if prices are dropping they need to create another 2A repeal panic so everybody starts buying guns again

Growing violent in response to bullying is definitely something that doesn't happen in other countries. This has nothing to do with unfettered access to guns.
