19 students, 3 adults dead in Texas elementary shooting.

Growing violent in response to bullying is definitely something that doesn't happen in other countries. This has nothing to do with unfettered access to guns.

Am I doing this right?

Not doing it right until you are accurate in your statements. We do not have unfettered access to guns in this country.

Every (or at least many) country has these issues. Only one has mass shootings as a regular occurrence. Maybe mass shootings are a symptom, but if you remove the guns, you remove that symptom. It's not hard.

There are knives, bats, and all other kinds of deadly objects. You could cause a fire alarm at a school, movie, business and plow a car through evacuated groups. There are bombs, Molotov cocktails, even the potential for cooking up a deadly gas. It's not the object - it's always the person behind the object. Just wait until the Ukrainian drone vids inspire somebody to drop a bomb perhaps on a school playground. I've never been convinced that violent video games are as safe as people want to think.

Can I throw out maybe MKUltra and some funding/influence by an alphabet organization?

Yeah, I reallllllly don't want to go there but it is a tad odd. Could be drug sales but I haven't heard he was a dealer and why would he work at Wendys?

Sadly, I think I can say the public confidence in our alphabet agencies is not what it once was and the idea of a conspiracy of some sort can no longer simply be dismissed out of hand, however unlikely in a situation like this.

Look, we all know what your motives are and what your preferred outcome is so you will ignore any and all counter arguments. So like Luther, you are a waste of time when it comes to the subject of firearms.

As are you. You refuse to even admit the enormous crisis facing this country with the ease of gun access.

Could have used the government checks. Will Biden speak about this or ignore the blood on his hands!

When I clicked on her Twitter page it gave balloons and confetti and it says “Today is their birthday” . That’s all need to know about her politics. If we’re going to take measures to make sure that these atrocities don’t continue we need serious people to take charge . We don’t need these mentally weak, soft ass opportunists who are just trying to politicize every crisis . They’re just as much as a problem as the people they accuse of being the main culprits.
Also has she/her as her pronouns and has #blm.

I swear, I don't know what we are going to do with these woke karens...

It's not a crisis and you have ZERO data to back up your claim. I have posted ACTUAL data that shows a huge spike in psychotropic drug prescriptions for adolescents. A spike that correlates with the increase in these events yet you refuse to even acknowledge the possibility of a link.

Not even 30 years ago it was even easier to obtain a gun than it is now, gun ownership was higher than it is now and these mass shooting events were almost unheard of. That's hard data showing it's not the ease of access being the cause.

The truth is not hard to see guys. Really, it's not. We have mass shootings because we have a big time gun culture and laws that place few constraints on access. No one else in the first world has this problem.

They can also be arrested and sued for calling someone a name online. Always good to hear from the culture of freedom

So what in heavens is your suggestion? What specifically should we do that we aren’t?

Every time we have to endure these lectures it's always the same - vague references to "common sense" gun laws which invariably wouldn't have stopped the person from obtaining guns or general statements that "if we didn't have guns then...".

I'm open to ideas but haven't seen any that would make a difference.

Lol. Go put your cats masks back on and leave the adults to figuring out how to fix this.

I am not trying to be argumentative or sling insults here, but I feel like the mental illness deal is an excuse for his actions. I understand that people seriously deal with mental illness, but mental illness is constantly thrown out as somewhat of an excuse for mass shooter actions. I believe it has zero to do with their actions. They are full on cowards that can't deal with reality and create a false world in their mind where they will be "remembered" dead or alive after the event.

I'm older than most people here, and I remember a time when people were expected to act within norms - when we were expected to conform. Individualism certainly wasn't prohibited, but reasonable behavior was expected. As several people have mentioned with respect to other countries, many have a more homogeneous population; diversity rather than assimilation seems to be the newer tend here - hard to rule that out as a factor. European countries that have had the more recent influx of migrants living in isolated enclaves are seeing increasing acts of violence.
