They should have had a high degree of confidence that he was acting alone.

Absolutely no excuse for not being able to quickly get a key.
Which means that cannot be accepted as a vali reason for waiting 40 minutes.
Maybe there are other reasons, but a locked door is certainly not one.

There was no resource officer for that school. And the “master key” was apparently not kept in the office. So again you already are mistaken

That's not the weirdest part. The weirdest part is how 100 armed LEO's can stand idly by while an 18 year old kid shoots innocent children over a 40 minute period.

I have seen multiple reports talking about a resource officer. If there wasn't a resource officer, then I'm guessing he didn't have a key.
I have seen no reports about the front office not having a master - seems beyond odd.

He’s actually normally very level headed and usually a good sounding board for perspective and moderating points. He was just on a crazy sputtering estrogen laden rant. It’s understandable though this is just such a horrible tragedy. It just struck me odd that he would be the one to lose it like that. That’s all.
