"It was great," Nash said. "Everything about Tennessee is always great. Coach Pruitt and coach YAC (David Johnson) were both great. They want to get to know everyone and that includes the players they have on their current team. That's the most important part, is how do they treat the people they already have? They are always looking for room for improvement. I like that they are always looking for improvement and how they show it around campus."
"The thing about Tennessee is we have a lot of great talent in this state," Nash said. "To know I'm in the same conversation as Lance Wilhoite and Trey Knox is just as good as being known as #1. Just being about to be recruited amongst the same level as them is just as important. (Tennessee) makes me feel like I'm their top guy, but they make those players feel like they are #1 too. They are good ball players.
"Coach Johnson is a good guy," Nash said. "He came out and reached out way before he got to Tennessee. He always came out and showed his face no matter when. He just always made sure he was a common face that I saw. I respect that about him. It shows that it's not just about school and what he has going on. It's about creating opportunity for me. Coach YAC knows what it's like and it's weird to find a coach that knows what it's like to come from where I come from. I can't do anything but respect him for that."
Nash recently made the decision to leave Memphis Central and head south to Florida to attend the highly regarded IMG Academy in Bradenton. "It's college preparation," Nash said. "It's all about the chances I create for myself in the future. I think this best place for me to create those opportunities eduction wise and physically. Of course back at home, it's small and everyone knows everyone. People stand out, but why not come compete with the best? Why not come and play with the best and prepare to be on the college level and do college things? It's about creating opportunity."
"My decision is going to be made when I feel it's fit and my parents feels that it's fit," Nash said. "And when I've grown and created a relationship with the school I'm choosing. There is no rush and I'm just letting everything be what it is. I'm not going to force things because when you do that you make mistakes. It's too big of a decision to force it."
