Refreshing to see a true conservative. As opposed to the people who claim to be conservative while supporting an unconstitutional drug war that wastes countless tax revenue and requires its own federal department.
We also need the liberals to understand that citizens owning guns is the correct position as well. A well armed militia is needed to keep the government from taking more and more liberties away from the citizenry... not to protect the suburbanites from ISIS.
It wasn't a secret that he previously had THC in his system. He admitted to having used the illicit substance 4 months earlier. Hardly seems long enough to determine if he'd kicked his reefers habit.
and this has ZERO to do with the OP.
Actually it does. The federal government continues to take a stance of prohibition on marijuana. Kid has trace amounts of THC in his system and dies. If the moralists weren't on their high horses about the reefers maybe this young man would have received a transplant sooner and lived.
I'm still waiting for a reason to be presented as to why those on transplant lists that need relief from pain should be denied a prescription for THC and instead be prescribed pain meds that are more addictive and in many situations will tear up the transplanted organs more than consuming the evil weed would. I understand that a lung patient shouldn't be recreationally messing with the reefers. But, could a liver patient be in better shape taking some prescribed THC instead of swallowing a bunch of Percocet or Hydrocodone or Aleve or Tylenol or other chemicals that will chew up their deteriorating or replacement liver? It should be an option... not something banned by the moralists and those whose livelihoods are financially threatened if it's legal.
We have been over this. The Federal government didn't write the rules, these are rules not laws anyway. The rules cover non illegal substances so it could still be on the list if legal. The rules were written outside of the states. Just because it is less dangerous doesn't make it a good idea or make it ok. no one is arguing legality or morality except for you two. I am assuming it is on there for MEDICAL reasons.
you know what, I am just going to start copying this post over and over and over again.
So pain meds are banned for those on the lists as well? Because medically they can be more damaging and are probably more addictive than marijuana.
And if the transplant gods are saying those on the list shouldn't consume other things... how are they monitoring that? How long does alcohol show up in testing. Cigs? Certain diet restrictions?
The Utah hospital called it a failed test for "an illicit" substance. Is that a medical definition?
