'20 VA C Dylan Cardwell

Darn! I got here too late to join in the last stanza of "Kum-ba-yah."

Seriously... I'm impressed, walkenvol and bleedingTNorange! Nice job of avoiding unnecessary escalation.

And I agree, The Dog. By comparison, the FF is like a midnight free-for-all at a psychiatric veterinary hospital with the lights out and the cages open.

Right and how do u know about my last visit to the vet ?

I'm starting to prefer Cardwell over Hall in the '20 class, although I love Hall's game. In the long run (wasn't that an Eagles' song?), Cardwell may be the perfect compliment to those three, 5-stars, UT is getting in '20

I saw some contention that that was his final four. He posted images on his IG in his story saying "Where we going?" and had those 4, but he didn't outright say that was his final four.

Either way, UT is in a good spot.

The only way we get neither, IMO, is if Hall makes some sort of indication this weekend on his visit that he wants to come, holds of an announcing, Cardwell gets tired of waiting, commits elsewhere, and then Hall pulls the rug out from under us. But, Barnes is an experienced coach, I don't see him getting played like that by an 18-year old. He'll have a plan to make sure Cardwell isn't lost.

Is their a chance we oversign by 2 and take Hall and Cardwell or is it an either or type deal. Sorry if already discussed.

If we don't take Cardwell, I sure hope not having an active defender and rim protector isn't the reason for a tournament loss. We saw the importance an active defender and rim protector made when we loss Kyle against Loyola.

I think that creates a lot of issues on the front end for how you manufacture 2 spots and also on the back end for how it affects what you can take in 2021.

I refer to that scenario as the Simms-Dorsey Effect.

I just saw that there was a new video on YouTube regarding Cardwell.

I would take this kid any day of the week. Think he would complement the players we already have (along with springer hopefully) for 2020 better than Hall in my opinion. We need a rim protector and in the interviews I have seen of Barnes he has said Plasvic is not as good of a rim protector as Kyle was.

All day over Hall and Im glad to see others are starting to see it the same way so nobody can hate on me.

FWIW, this year's AAU circuit numbers for Hall and Cardwell...

That .550 3-Ball % is niceeeeeeeeee. Having a big man who can play down low, but also be a threat to step outside and knock down a jumpshot would be huge. Gives an entirely new dimension to their game, and forces the opponent to be more cautious in how they defend the post. Imagine if Kyle was banging 3's 55% of the time?

I would hate to see him end up at Vandy/UGA and play against him for the next several years. Would prefer him choose Miami if we don't nab him up.
