That’s why I’ve said I feel Barnes must’ve preferred Cardwell or at the very least had them even.

Edit: Rob Lewis is reporting, not 100% sure he is with VQ. I'm sure somebody here knows

I just saw the news on Hall/Cardwell.

Im not as dumb as some would like you to think huh?

I proposed days ago that we cancel Hall's visit and take Cardwell.

I could see Springer talking to TN and asking if they could go ahead and take Cardwell. What are you going to do? Say no, and possibly lose out on all 3? Or take the birds in hand, even if they would rather have Hall. I don't know if I would be taking any chances, especially if it was close between Hall and Cardwell.

No, I'm too cheap and get all those 'effers mixed up. I know Price because he does the Thurday night KFL games, the other dude because he is a Cubs fan and what-his-name that has been doing it 4ever and is the VolNetwork recruiting guy. But, not sure which recruiting company they work for or moonlight for

Don’t recall folks saying you were dumb. Do recall folks saying you consistently took a negative view of the coach.
Unless you’re connected to the coaching staff or to Cardwell then you were guessing on this prediction. A blind squirrel finds an acorn occasionally is a saying that comes to mind.

Good grief. Talk about a false narrative. Who called you dumb for preferring Cardwell to Hall? If someone did, they were in the minority as most have conceded they would ecstatic with either one, even if they preferred one over the other.

Anyone who called you dumb did so because of the justification of your preference, which was because Cardwell is black and Hall is white. THAT is dumb.

Barnes seemingly wants 5 guys on the floor that are interchangeable and can dribble, pass, shoot, and play and guard multiple positions. Just look at who he has recruited for proof. James, Johnson, Walker, Springer, and Hall are just the most recent examples.

Glad to see Cardwell becoming the focus over Hall. As I and several others have stated, wouldn't have been upset with Hall but my preference (and it seems Barnes/staff too) was Cardwell. I like that mindset he plays with. As he gets stronger and fills out it will only improve his already gifted strengths. And I think he's got a good enough natural/offensive feel to develop a 10-12' jumper in time under Barnes. Excited and hope he will be a Vol soon!
