Main thing we got from that game is 1) Chris Johnson is a beast 2) Our defense will be even better this year 3) Our 2nd and 3rd stringers own the Jets 2nd and 3rd stringers 4) most of our receivers still suck except we didn't get to see McCariens and Gage had very limited action 5) Young to Crumpler will be huge this season.
I really hoped to see Ealy step up and separate himself a bit from that log jam after the top 3 WR's. They certainly gave him plenty of opportunities to make a play........Yeah first teamers on offense were pretty average... Crumpler had a few catches but Young only got to throw like 6 passes before 2nd string came in... was like 3/6 for 17 yards... but didnt have McCariens in to help... Ealy got to play and dropped a few and didnt get his foot in on one big catch that should've been made.. was kinda the same old stuff from the WRs..
Chris Johnson's TD run was lightning fast... WOW. They threw a screen to him and 3rd and long that went for a first down and looked like he may have been gone on that one too but he kinda stumbled around.
lol:That would be what the "3 of 6" part of my post meant, idiot.
i think that shows the playcalling more than anything. they only called 6 passing plays while he was in. It's not like he went 5/15 or anything, they just only called 6 passing plays, he completed 1/2 of them, no sacks, fumbles, picks, or anything else.
And realistically, unless your receivers make big plays and/or break open the field, you're not gonna have too many yards on so few passing plays
