2008 Titans

My driect tv says the game should be on channel fifty right now... its a local channel... but they are showing some gay movie... im pretty pissed

I think its just the network not direct or comcast... its gay but the titans are winning 7-3... Iv got a friend at the game tellin me score

Yeah first teamers on offense were pretty average... Crumpler had a few catches but Young only got to throw like 6 passes before 2nd string came in... was like 3/6 for 17 yards... but didnt have McCariens in to help... Ealy got to play and dropped a few and didnt get his foot in on one big catch that should've been made.. was kinda the same old stuff from the WRs..

Chris Johnson's TD run was lightning fast... WOW. They threw a screen to him and 3rd and long that went for a first down and looked like he may have been gone on that one too but he kinda stumbled around.

Oh yeah.. VB and Kearse had a good impact tonight... excepted from KVB.. and Bullock with the pick 6.. Haynesworth didn't seem to do anything noticable except plug up holes like normal. That #91 (forgot his name @ DT) looks like he could contribute this year.. he blasted through the line several times and one was against the first teamers.

Meanwhile 4th string RB Ganther continues to tear it up...

decent preseason game from them based off the highlights i saw. Receivers still need alot of work, though

Main thing we got from that game is 1) Chris Johnson is a beast 2) Our defense will be even better this year 3) Our 2nd and 3rd stringers own the Jets 2nd and 3rd stringers 4) most of our receivers still suck except we didn't get to see McCariens and Gage had very limited action 5) Young to Crumpler will be huge this season.

Jets? you mean rams right :)

Yeah, that chris johnson run highlight was great & the D looked good. However, i kinda knew about 4 and hoped that would get better...unfortunately looks like im right that the WRs will be the problem again. The staff seems to want them just to get better one season but that's just not going to happen. They really need to invest the money/draft picks into this problem or it won't get any better.

340 rushing yards is what sticks out to me. Whether its preseason or not that stat is a pretty special one. Granted we didn't pass the ball well, I'll take 340 yards rushing any day of the week.

You don't like 3 of 6 for 17 yards from your starter?

I really hoped to see Ealy step up and separate himself a bit from that log jam after the top 3 WR's. They certainly gave him plenty of opportunities to make a play........

Still way too early to call Johnson a beast. He will contribute and add a new dimension but beast is too premature. Ealy will be fine they will bring him along slow. Once Haynseworth gets into football shape the D-line will be outstanding. Young's footwork looks much better and you can see the difference in his throws. White is in good shape and looks to have improved some, he and Johnson will bring us a true "thunder and lightning" duo. I will wait until after our next game against the Raiders to assess our offense, the Rams are a horrible defensive team.

This will be one of the better Dlines in the league... Vikings up there too. Kearse seemed like he played well. White/Johnson could end up being just beautiful work.

Idea: Draft Crabtree when he leaves!

I expect improvement from the Titans this season. I definitely saw some positive things in the preseason game. I think if they were in a different division, they would be a playoff lock.

:eek:lol:That would be what the "3 of 6" part of my post meant, idiot.

i think that shows the playcalling more than anything. they only called 6 passing plays while he was in. It's not like he went 5/15 or anything, they just only called 6 passing plays, he completed 1/2 of them, no sacks, fumbles, picks, or anything else.

And realistically, unless your receivers make big plays and/or break open the field, you're not gonna have too many yards on so few passing plays

So let me get this straight. I think what you're saying is that it was just the playcalling, and that a 50% completion rate for 2.83 yards per attempt isn't that bad?
