He was my coach my senior year. He does have a great football mind, but any coach that can take a knee and stop coaching kids in the 4th quarter of a playoff game is far from Legendary in my book. I could be wrong but i think Coach Henderson is his skills coach. Young former player for the Owls that is a VERY good coach imo

Not a legend certainly for what he's done at Ooltewah, hasn't done much more than Ted did.. I just meant his time at Cleveland.

I would LOVE to see him at DE for the VOLS. Going to make a trip down and watch one of his games this year. I will let you know how he does. He has 2 years to bulk up and hopefully add 2-3 inches in height

we're counting on you for the first hand reports.

Yeah that's pretty sweet seeing the high school I graduated from on the front page of scout. Jacques laid quite a few hits in that video.

Was White Station paying to much attention to him and that is why the other kid had such a great game or is the other guy really good too. Sorry, but i can't remember the other kid's name.

Whites Creek, neither of those two.

Apparently the other kid is really good and had been unblockable in practice.. but I'm pretty sure he's not SEC caliber for a DT - could be wrong though.. this is the first time I've heard of him.

Well, whoever he is and for whatever reason, he had a great game.

Those of you in the Chattanooga area will be able to see him play on the CSS high school game of the week tonight if you don't have anything better to do. Ooltewah plays McMinn County.

I was going to stay in Franklin and watch my school Franklin High play Ravenwood tonight but I decided to head down to Chattanooga to watch this game. I will give you a report on what I see.

I saw in the paper where in one series he had sacks on the first two downs and then a holding call on third down. Cool.

Yeah, there was actually 2 holding calls on him that drive (1 went uncalled but he still got the sack) and somehow it ended up being 3rd and 61.

I ended up staying in Middle TN and watching Franklin-Ravenwood. I will tell you about that game in another thread. How did Jaquez Smith perform?

About as well as anyone can perform. I've hardly seen such a dominant performance from a defensive player in high school. He also managed to bulldoze over two players at once (LB/DE) and spring a touchdown when they lined him up at TE..

It was the game of the week and he was named the player of the game. Just about every defensive snap his named was metioned (and the announcers can't get his first name right after 2 years...). They call him Ja-kez. Pronounced Ja-qwuez...

Anything on his grades and attitude? I know some of their main talent down there last year had problems to say the least.
