Carl Nicks to the Bucs. The Bucs are winning FA right now. We all know that means little, though.

@AdamSchefter Tampa Bay reached agreement with former Saints guard Carl Nicks on a five-year, $47.5 million deal including $31 million guaranteed.

They have a ton of cap room

Megatron gets a megacontract extension. Numbers aren't out yet, but you can best believe it'll be...Dare I say it...mega.

V-Jax at $11M per or Megatron at $18.8M per. Is is possible to overpay for a player like Megatron? I think so (for a WR). I'm not saying they should ever let him walk, but you can still overpay from a value standpoint. And Megatron is way better than V-Jax, who is also overpaid, but ~$19M is a big chunk.

I'm thinking people are spending their money before they ever get it (teams expecting that $30M bump with the new TV deals).

He is worth it, especially if they were able to make it work by frontloading it some.

I would assume most teams are not front loading for extensions and reworks. I would guess most are putting it back for the new TV deals. The result will be some teams still tied up and other have loads of cash those years.

Megatron would average about $2 million per TD catch if he continued his current pace through the duration of the contract.

Did the Bears know about the recent Marshall fight on Sunday night before they traded for him? With his history, he might get a length suspension from the commish. If they didnt know, thats funny.

Apparently they did. I'm thinking 4 games

If we are using Redskin logic, that's about a third of what he's worth. Josh Morgan is getting a cool million for every point he scored from last year.

@AdamSchefter Cowboys sign CB Brandon Carr to a 5-year, $50.1 million deal

He's a better corner than Finnegan if you ask me, getting roughly the same deal. I mean these guys still only have averaged about 2 picks a season, but Carr is bigger and seems to have better coverage skills.
