Henne to Jags means no space for Tebow - AFC South Blog - ESPN

The Jaguars signed a new, better backup quarterback Wednesday.

Chad Henne will do his best to help Blaine Gabbert, and if Gabbert fails under a new coaching staff, Henne will provide an improved fall back plan.

What Henne won’t be is a No. 3.

And what that means is the Jaguars don’t have room for another quarterback, certainly one without the arm strength to match Gabbert and Henne, who both can sling it.

So let’s bookmark this blog entry and circle back to it and link to it each time someone who doesn’t spend a lot of time doing homework concludes that because Tebow is from Jacksonville, because he went to Florida, because he might sell some extra tickets for awhile and because the Jaguars new owner once said he would have drafted Tebow back in 2010 that the Jaguars will race to get him should Denver go another direction.

Let. It. Go.

Tebow isn’t going to be part of these Jaguars.

He is not really a slot, the Colts drafted him to take that WR spot that was filled by Harrison and that Garcon took. The Pats are not wanting him to be a slot receiver.

Not really big enough to play outside, though, is he? Not durable, either.

But you're right, he'd never compete with Welker.

I agree with VFJ, Indy mostly used him as a wideout. He was pretty good at it, except all the injuries.

He has probably missed more games than Bob Sanders in the same time frame, that's all that needs to be said.

RT @AdamSchefter: Buffalo has met most conditions for deal for Texans FA LB Mario Williams and is "close to a deal." Answer "real soon."

If you notice his team interests, he seems locked onto teams that already run 4-3's or will be running 4-3's. So you'd imagine he feels more comfortable in it.

Mario Williams signs with the Bills; 6 year, $100 mil contract ($50 mil guaranteed)

Saying this is a huge move for the Bills.

Steve Hutchinson signed with the Titans on a 3 year, $16 million deal, no word on guaranteed amount.
