So, it had nothing to do with Memphis 15 first half TO's that allowed UL to get in the game? Or the fact UM stupidly shot 17 three's? Or the fact Memphis had 24 TO's total to UoL's 12...and UoL had 29 points off turnovers.
Yes, Louisville had 32 free throws in the second half. However, half of those were in the final two minutes with Memphis trying to get to slow the game down. 16 FT's in 18 minutes is nowhere near getting all the calls.
Besides, the first half was called evenly, Louisville had only a +2 FT advantage in the first half.
Memphis had a lot of TOs (so did Louisville), but how many of Memphis' TOs came off "iffy" offensive foul calls?? I can think of 4 off the top of my head.
If you don't recall, Memphis was up 7 in the first half. The poor foul calls came mostly in the second half, although I can remember quite a few in the first.
Before the final 2 minutes or so (when the intentional fouls started), Louisville had already shot 20 more FTs than Memphis.
