Markel had a great season, now ranked 89th in Rivals (I believe) latest poll.

Also, some noise now coming from the Duke contingent regarding Mr. Nichols. The Dukies seem to believe that they are in a very good position with him.

Memphis was in to see him the other day as well, it's gonna be a fight to the end for Nichols.

An early signing period committment would probably be good news for Tennessees chances.

I think Duke is a pretty serious player here guys. K is going to Tennessee today, I am assuming he is coming to see Nichols. No way K loses this guy if he wants him. Duke may be getting Amile Jefferson by the end of the week, if that happens then I think it will be hard for them to land Jefferson and Nichols.

Well they're 2 different classes and most likely plumlees will be leaving so I don't see why Jefferson would effect Nichols.

Also, while I'm not counting out duke, to suggest that coach k gets evey recruit he wants is ludicrous. He just whiffed on quite a few this class alone, so it's not a given by any means.

Now as i said, I'm not suggesting duke isn't a player, but I'm not gonna wave the white flag just because duke has shown up.

There is a small tournament at Briarcrest. Skal is playing too. A few good players playing. K wasn't the only coach here either. Pretty sure Cuonzo and some others were in attendance.

Apparently coach K wasn't the only coach in attendance. Hubbs and Labissiere are also on the same team as Nichols, so I'm sure CCM was checking out all 3.

Coach K called and offered Austin Nichols a scholarship today.

Congratulations to Austin that's something to be proud of, still hope to see you in orange Austin.
