If anyone has any concerns about Memphis, you should feel better.

Memphis just got a committment from a PF, Kuran Iverson, Nichols defintely isn't going to Memphis.

Not that many thought there was a chance before, besides Leroy, but just figured I'd relay the info.

As it has been said for awhile...it has been UT/Duke for a long time...if he ends up anywhere besides Knoxville I'll be very surprised. Although us offering a scholarship to a F after our in home with Nichols was some what interesting.

Well, many though Austin wasn't going to Memphis before; I don't think the Iverson commitment affects that one way or the other.

This IS why Memphis stopped pursuing JW3 though.

A lot of the tiger board and writers thought Memphis was still involved with Nichols, and many thought there was still a chance, that should put it to rest.

Does also explain j3...when Florida parted with Rimmer looked like they may have felt good about iverson.

I think Florida parted with Rimmer to go after a kid named Joel Embiid.

That's why I don't trust these "national" recruiting guys. They see something like the Rimmer leaving Florida, look on Florida's list and see that Iverson has them in his top 2, and suddenly the story is "Iverson is leaning toward Florida" or "Florida knows something we don't". Give me a Regional recruiting analyst with actual relationships with coaches and players any day of the week.

Agree about the regional guys over national...although you stil have some very clueless regional guy s who lets facts get in the way.

Iverson has nothing to do with Nichols' recruitment but it's pretty much non existant at this point and IMO he 100% will not be going to Memphis. Iverson is a kid that can play any position on the court. Memphis will be recruiting a couple of bigs over the next couple of weeks and one of them isn't Nichols.

Florida "insiders" have been saying that Iverson wasn't coming for a month-and-a-half. He wasn't the guy we let Rimmer go for.
