I'm trying to not count him yet, but damn it's hard. Elliott Williams was thought to be headed to UT, hours before a decision he flip flopped.

I'll feel better a couple days after the duke visit has ended.

Duke was never really in play for randle. Duke and K have made Nichols priority number 1 for post guys for awhile now...that's one reason why if we land him that's truly amazing, and an incredible job by CCM.

Just such a great display of how far we've come. I mean...we're actually discussing how it would be disappointing to only end up with ONE 5 star.

I find myself logging on every few hours to see if there are any updates, KNOWING nothing will be official til the 20th... Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and check on here just to see... I am a BallerVol junkie... lol

Where was this confirmed?

It was rumored for awhile ESPN was trying to get him to announce on TV, much like how tobias did.

I've not seen anything confirmed about this though.

Edit: nevermind I found it. Says he may do an announcement on ESPNU like the Harrison's did. That'd be great for Tennessee, more national exposure only helps.

So TIFWIW because I don't have confirmation...

But I'm pretty sure Nichols went alone on his duke visit. Now this may seem insignificant to some, but it's actually telling, if true.

He's never been there before, and I don't see him choosing a school that his parents have never seen in person.

If true...I think it's obvious his decision has already been made and he's just finishing up his visits out of respect.

If everything you say is true, then he may simply be enjoying the opportunity to take these visits, and to reinforce his decision.

If it were me, I would take the visit, because I wanted to, not "out of respect," because if he's 100% Vol, he could allow Coach K to spend this time on other players.

Not bashing you, and you may be right that it's out of respect.

Either way, I hope we get him.

The duke visit probably was because he wanted to...the auburn visit I see as just respect and a thank you to his AAU coach.
