When UT smashes Memphis he will rethink things. If Memphis struggles this year it only helps us. With that said I think he plans on signing early.

I'm not denying that. Duke has a much better pedigree than Memphis. But look at the talent on both rosters. Memphis' coaching staff isn't as lauded as Duke's but they are up and coming. They've gotten recruits into the NBA.

When you compare Memphis to Duke for the next few seasons, the question to Austin is: is it worth it to go to school over 10 hours away when Memphis offers an almost equally great basketball experience in your own backyard? Obviously, the answer was "No".

Wow go home to take a nap and wake up to this...didn't see this coming, happy for Austin though. He was hearing it from everyone croon and was very torn, glad its over for him.

I will say this though, if he doesn't sign there's a reason for that, and it's far from over...could very well come down to another decision in the spring.

His father told Quinn last week he would not be signing early...not sure if that changes.

They will have a good year, but the only question is can Pastner finally get an NCAA tournament win?

It tells me he definitely wasn't serious about auburn, not that I ever thought he was and I tried to tell people that.

But no...what's he going to say, I'm ditching auburn for a day, to go to Memphis madness, simply because i got some friends going and it should be a fun event?

That doesn't always matter. Memphis doesn't have enough coaching to beat a lot of people either. Talent and coaching will even each other out.

Because people who supposedly knew him and the family said there was no shot, so I deferred to them...but I continually said that if he ever considered Memphis they'd scare me.
