2013 F Austin Nichols (Memphis Briarcrest)

There is absolutely no way that the SEC is a 6 or 7 bid league this season.

The Big East right now is probably a 9 bid league. It will probably be a 7 or 8 bid league next season.

Ky, Mizzou, Fla, UT, Bama and Ole Miss. That's 6. Those 6 will be in the running for bids. Maybe 1 more, but those 6 have a great chance.

Wow. Just saw on ESPN that several Big East schools are trying to get into the ACC. Looks like Louisville is gonna be it. UConn and Cincy were trying hard. ACC is voting tomorrow on teams. Looks like the Big East will in fact be the new C-USA. Every good team will be jumping at the chance to get out of there.

Memphis fans defend Pastner because he's a nice guy and a hard worker, but just about everyone is ready for some results.

I think Martin, like Pearl, will have trouble recruiting the city of Memphis no matter who coaches for the Tigers. I've never understand the fixation with Memphis when ATL is closer and produces more bball talent.

ATL is closer and we've had a ton of success going to Georgia but I don't know if I'd say there is more elite talent there than Memphis. I've never really looked at the numbers but that's interesting if true. Maybe the talent in Georgia is far more spread out than Memphis so building relationships is easier there? Not sure.

If Tiger High is the only team left in the Big Least then do they get an automatic bid to the tourney every year? What about a BCS berth too?

So: wrong on Louisville, right on UConn?

Now, about your claim that the SEC was getting 6-7 teams in this years dance.

Ky, Mizzou, Fla, UT, Bama and Ole Miss. There's your 6.

Will the Big East even have any teams left by the end of the year when the other conferences end up poaching them off?

UT, Bama, Ole Miss: 2 out of those three may make it. All three don't.

No, the Big East will have zero teams left in 30 days. You meant except Memphis of course right? One team conference.

And the saga continues for Tiger High. Tarik Black considering transfering now. Pastner continues to recruit as a incompetent coach. Why? His dad is a big time AAU flesh peddler and Josh has been playing ball with the pimps in summer coaching forever. He's a less talented Scott Drew. That's why.

He's just sitting out the UTM game. Talk of transferring didn't come from Black or the UM staff.

I hope he doesn't though, dude is a beast.

Not sure I would go that far.

I don't blame you for thinking that, you probably didn't get to see much of him during the back half of our season last year, but when he got the ball in his hands, he is unstoppable. Before the C-USA taunts get thrown out, he went up against some good big men in C-USA, Keith Clanton from UCF being perhaps the best.

Tarik is better on the boards than last season, and he could easily be a conference POY. I hope he gets cleaned up before Jan 4th so you guys can see him against Stokes.

Not saying Tarik is garbage, just saying that I wouldn't call him a "beast". He averaged 10.7 and 4.9 last year and is on that path now as a junior. Not what I would consider a beast. If he had more fire in him, I think he could take his play up a level. Just not sure he has that.

Since when is 10.6 ppg and 5 boards a beast and less than a block a game beastly?

Also, he's a foul machine too.

Ole Miss is pretty darn good this year. Bama will likely flop but they look good enough to get a bid. And you KNOW the Vols are dancing baby!!!
