Thompson scored 20+, scored 10 in a row with under 5 remaining to lead his team back from a double digit deficit and force OT. Blackman won in OT, Cuonzo was there for the entire game.

I was at the game and Cuonzo was there for the whole game. Thompson got off to a slow start. Didn't play real well early on. Maybe nervous from playing in front of Cuonzo. Thompson did play great in the 4th quarter and scored several points in a row as Blackman came back to win in overtime.

I'm really excited about this kid. I hope we are all over him. I think he'd be a great fit in this four guard line up we are now running. I really like CCM changing it up and going small and recruiting to stay in this four guard line up. I hope we can land one to two big time prospect every year and then add solid role guys around them. Richardson, Moore, and Yemi has to show that CCM can find some diamonds in the rough. If Yemi can learn to score some he'd be a force. He's got ripped since being here and he's a great hustle guy like Q and Moore. I'd love to add Darius and then in 2014 add a top PG and Post player along with a great shooter even if he's a two star prospect.

That sucks that a Dist. 7 team got to host the Region Tourney. If Dist. 8 was hosting, I would have been the official scorekeeper.

Early: November 14-21
Spring: April 17-May 15

Those dates vary by a few days each year, it starts on a certain day of the week in that month, but those are the dates this year.

Appreciate it. I hope nobody sneaks in between now and April to steal this kid. I really like his game. Seems like a heady player with good court vision.

I think if all goes well he will visit for Missouri game and committ shortly after. Some had asked about if we make the tourney what kind of effect would that have on recruiting, we may already be seeing some of the effects of that. Thompson apparently thinks that Tennessee is in a much better place to win big soon than Vanderbilt or some of the other schools he's considering and that's factoring into his decision.

What's the word on Landry BTO? Do you think at the end of the day he makes it here or does he decide to go another route?

After seeing our 4 guard line up in action, I think Thompson is a great fit. He's long and athletic and can shoot the 3. Really all the point guard does in our 4 guard set is bring the ball up and start the motion. Thompson is more than capable of doing just that. I like his game a lot.

We really need a true passing PG. He might not play a ton, but we need one for the times that we can't push the ball or break a press with the four guard line up. I guess what I'm saying is we need to be able to go to a standard line up when need be with a true passing PG leading the way.

I agree. The UGA game showed that UT needs to be able to play different styles with different personnel. The four guard lineup had been great but UGA exploited it with their posts. When we add in that McRae was the only guy to really show up, it was a disaster. I think there is still a tournament shot but winning or losing is the product of matchups, especially with similar talent levels, and UT needs to be able to adjust to take advantage of the matchups.

You are correct, but if Golden has just a so-so game Saturday, we probably win. He was nonexistent. I remember the stat they flashed late in that game. 0 points, 4 fouls. WOW!!!

I really hope CCM closes this deal!!!

Thompson balled out tonight, his team advancing to Murfreesboro. Hubbs team also playing out there.

Anybody have a schedule to games?

Thompson played a great game tonight. Had 24 points and his usual all around game was great as Blackman won 84-58.

My son was at he Blackman game tonight and said he heard Darius say "I'm going to the University of Tennessee". Has he committed officially?

Harris wasn't there. CCM was there himself. 2nd game in less than a week he has seen. Darius put on a pretty good show too. Hope we can land him.
